Berakas – Ministry of Education has held another roadshow in Brunei Muara District on the Technical and Vocational Scholarship Scheme (BPTV) at School of Aviation, IBTE Sultan Saiful Rijal Campus, Jalan Utama Berakas.

Present to give the briefing on the scheme from the Ministry of Education is Yang Mulia Dayang Norkhanizah Wati binti Haji Ahmad, Education Officer from Scholarship Section as well as officers from Private Education Section, Scholarship Section and Secretariat of Brunei Darussalam National Accreditation Council (MKPK).

Also present during the roadshow were representatives from private higher institutions across the nation such as Kolej Pengajian Siswazah Antarabangsa (KIGS), Laksamana College of Business (LCB), Cosmopolitan College of Commerce & Technology (CCCT), Kemuda Institute Services Sdn. Bhd. (KI) dan Micronet International College (MIC).
This roadshow was held to raise awareness and provide further information to the public on the Vocational Technical Education Scholarship Scheme (BPTV). The application for the Scholarship Scheme has been opened for two (2) weeks starting Tuesday, 17 July until 31 July 2018, not later than 4.00 pm.
BPTV Scheme is one of a project under 11th National Development Plan (RKN-11). It was offered by the Government of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam which envisaged to fulfil the increasing demand for technical and vocational education in the country.
This scheme was specifically for local 'O' level leavers for them to pursue higher educations in higher local institutions across the country. Not only they get the chance to continue their studies in higher institutions but also envisages the creation of highly educated and skills citizens, in line with the country's Vision 2035.
In this regard, the general public, especially 'O' level school leavers who met the requirements as above are welcome to apply for BPTV Scholarship Scheme.
The BPTV Scheme (BPTV / A) application form can be downloaded from the official Ministry of Education website: www.moe.gov.bn. The completed forms and required documents must be submitted through the procedures set up by the Scholarship Section, Ministry of Education.
