The Opening Ceremony For Jatidiri ‘Berkat’ Programme

TEMBURONG, Sunday, 18 August – Scholarship Section, Ministry of Education in collaboration with Uniform group and Social Services Unit, Department of Co-Curriculum Education, Ministry of Education yesterday evening held the opening ceremony for JatiDiri 'Berkat' Programme for Government Scholarship and Education Loan Scheme (SBPP) Academic Session 2019/20 students.

A total of 84 students attended the programme with 80 students from the Government Scholarship under the Ministry of Education and Education Loan Scheme (SBPP) and 2 Government Scholarship students under the Ministry of Religious Affairs and 2 private students. The opening ceremony was held at Program Khidmat Bakit Negara (PKBN) Training Camp in Temburong District.

Present as the Guest of Honor to officiate the ceremony was the Acting Head of Scholarship Section, Yang Mulia Syed Rozman bin Syed Haji Abdul Rahim. Also present were senior officers, officers and staffs of the Scholarship Section and Department of Co-Curriculum, Ministry of Education.

The ceremony began with the recital of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat, led by Chief Scholarship and Welfare Officer of the Scholarship Section, Yang Mulia Haji Raminey bin Haji Salleh. This was then followed by a Welcoming Speech and briefing by Yang Mulia Syed Rozman bin Syed Haji Abdul Rahim. In his briefing, Syed Rozman touch on the duties and responsibilities as a government scholarship recipient, the regulations and procedures of government scholarship abroad as well as scholarship allowances and facilities for going abroad.

JatiDiri 'Berkat' Programme will be held for 5 days, 4 nights starting Saturday, 17 August 2019. All students involved will be required to stay at the PKBN Training Camp throughout the program. Various briefings, activities and knowledge sharing session such as life skills, leadership, strengthening the faith and appreciation of the Malay Islamic Monarchy (MIB, Melayu Islam Beraja) are incorporated in this program.

It is hoped that this program will be able to prepare the students for studying abroad as well as providing them with latest information and knowledge before departing Brunei.

The Ministry of Education through the Scholarship Division will continue to strive to ensure the learning and well-being of the students will be monitored from time to time and will be directed to achieve Brunei Vision 2035.

TEMBURONG, Ahad, 18 Ogos – Bahagian Biasiswa, Kementerian Pendidikan dengan kerjasama Unit Beruniform dan Perkhidmatan Masyarakat, Jabatan Pendidikan Kokurikulum, Kementerian Pendidikan semalam telah mengadakan majlis pembukaan rasmi program JatiDiri 'Berkat' bagi pelajar-pelajar yang dianugerahkan Biasiswa Kerajaan Ke Luar Negeri dan Skim Bantuan Pinjaman Pendidikan (SBPP) Sesi Pengajian 2019/2020.

Seramai 84 orang pelajar menyertai program berkenaan yang terdiri daripada 80 pelajar penerima Biasiswa Kerajaan Ke Luar Negeri di bawah Kementerian Pendidikan dan Skim Bantuan Pinjaman Pendidikan (SBPP), 2 pelajar penerima Biasiswa Kerajaan Ke Luar Negeri di bawah Kementerian Hal Ehwal Ugama dan 2 pelajar persendirian. Majlis pembukaan rasmi program tersebut diadakan di Kem Latihan Program Khidmat Bakti Negara (PKBN), Daerah Temburong.

Hadir selaku tetamu kehormat dan seterusnya merasmikan program tersebut ialah Pemangku Ketua Bahagian Biasiswa, Yang Mulia Syed Rozman bin Syed Haji Abdul Rahim. Turut hadir ke majlis berkenaan ialah Pegawai-Pegawai Kanan, Pegawai-Pegawai serta Kakitangan Bahagian Biasiswa dan Jabatan Pendidikan Kokurikulum, Kementerian Pendidikan.

Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah dan Doa Selamat yang dipimpin oleh Ketua Pegawai Dermasiswa dan Kesejahteraan, Bahagian Biasiswa, Yang Mulia Haji Raminey bin Haji Salleh. Majlis diteruskan dengan ucapan alu-aluan daripada Pemangku Ketua Bahagian Biasiswa, Yang Mulia Syed Rozman bin Syed Haji Abdul Rahim dan diselajurkan dengan taklimat. Pada taklimat tersebut, Syed Rozman menjelaskan mengenai tugas dan tanggungjawab sebagai seorang penerima biasiswa kerajaan, aturan serta peraturan biasiswa kerajaan ke luar negeri juga elaun dan kemudahan-kemudahan biasiswa di luar negeri

Program JatiDiri 'Berkat' ini akan diadakan selama 5 hari, 4 malam bermula hari Sabtu, 17 Ogos 2019. Semua pelajar yang terlibat dikehendaki untuk berkampung (menginap) di Kem Latihan PKBN sepanjang program ini diadakan. Pelbagai taklimat, aktiviti dan sesi perkongsian ilmu seperti Ilmu Kemahiran Hidup, Keyakinan, Kepimpinan, Pengukuhan Akidah, Penghayatan Melayu Islam Beraja (MIB) dan sebagainya disusun dalam program ini.

Dengan pengendalian program ini diharap akan dapat menyiapsediakan pelajar untuk menjalani pengajian di luar negara selain memberikan maklumat-maklumat terkini dan buah tangan berunsur ilmu pengetahuan kepada pelajar supaya dengan ilmu pengetahuan ini akan menjadi sukat-sukat mereka semasa menjalani pengajian di luar negara nanti.

Kementerian Pendidikan melalui Bahagian Biasiswa akan terus menerus berusaha di dalam mempastikan pembelajaran dan kesejahteraan pelajar akan dipantau dari masa ke semasa dan terarah agar Wawasan Brunei 2035 dapat direalisasikan.
