Functions
1. To organize personnel matters such as recruitment, promotions, recommendation
and confirmation of post increment discipline and processing for further action and
payment of all categories of gratuities.
2. To assist the Department of Schools and the Department of Technical Education in the
recruitment of expatriate teachers including renewal and termination of their contract.
3. To arrange advertisements and conduct interviews for the posts in the
departments under the Ministry of Education;
4. To process applications for leave and free / Haj passage; maintain and update records
of service and coordinate loan schemes and submit applications for ownership of land.
5. To arrange for the payment of salaries, allowances and other payments under
the Ministry of Education;
6. To coordinate and submit the annual budgets of the Ministry of Education and its
departments and forward them for further action to the relevant authorities;
10. To act as the Secretariat for the Mini-Tender Board, Ministry of Education
11. To conduct an internal audit of departments, schools and colleges;
12. To inspect recommend and take action for equipment to be written off-,
13. To allocate accommodation to eligible applicants in the Ministry of Education.
