Introduction
The Department of Planning, Development and Research functions through
five separate
sections namely; Planning Section; Research Section; Management of
Data Education Section; Development and Monitoring Education
Section; and Management and Administration Section. Its roles and responsibilities are to assist the Ministry of Education
(MOE) to plan, research and carry out educational programs/projects while at the
same time manage a system of information technology and prepare educational statistics.
Vision
To establish the Department of Planning, Research and Development as
a centre of education information and data centre of excellence
in education planning, research and development.
Mission
To plan, research and provide reliable education data as well as to
develop educational programmes through systematic methodologies.
Objective
To provide an up-to-date information and reliable education
data.
To provide systematic and recognised
research studies of high quality.
To undertake education planning in line
with current issued and development based on the Malay Islamic
Monarchy philosophy.
To develop education programmes or projects
based on research and study findings.
Monitoring and evaluating education
projects or programmes.
Producing the publishing leaflets and other
printed materials on planning, research, development and
education data information.
