TUNGKU - The Ministry of Education today held the Opening Ceremony for the Regional Capacity Development Program "Holistic Integrated Early Childhood Care Education: Our Happy Neighbourhood," at the Senate Room, Chancellor Hall, Universiti Brunei Darussalam. This event is jointly organized by the Department of Schools through Early Childhood Education Unit and Department of Educators Management, Ministry of Education, Brunei Darussalam, and the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Centre for Early Childhood Care Education and Parenting (SEAMEO CECCEP), Indonesia.

 

Present as the Guest of Honour to officiate the program was Yang Mulia Dayang Hajah Marina Chek binti Bujang, Director of Schools, Ministry of Education.

The event commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat, followed by opening remarks from Yang Mulia Professor Vina Adriany, Director of SEAMEO CECCEP and Yang Mulia Mrs Komalasari, Director of Early Childhood Education, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Republic of Indonesia. The event continued with a speech from the Guest of Honour followed by the opening of the program.

The program, which includes briefings and workshops, will take place over four days, from 10 to 13 June 2024, involving 86 participants comprising cluster heads and government preschool teachers under the Ministry of Education. The workshops and briefings will be delivered by a total of 12 facilitators from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology and SEAMEO CECCEP, Indonesia.


The program aims to enhance awareness and understanding of the importance of quality early childhood care and education. Through the sharing of knowledge and best practices, it is designed to improve future planning for brighter prospects for upcoming generations. Additionally, the program aims to foster cooperation among various stakeholders, including families, communities, and schools, to ensure the rights and needs of children are well cared for.

 

Furthermore, the program introduces an inclusive education approach to ensure that every child, including children with special needs, has equal access to learning.

TUNGKU - Kementerian Pendidikan pada hari ini telah mengadakan Majlis Perasmian Program Perkembangan Kapasiti Pusat Serantau "Holistic Integrated Early Childhood Care Education: Our Happy Neighbourhood", bertempat di Bilik Senat, Dewan Canselor, Universiti Brunei Darussalam. Majlis ini dianjurkan bersama oleh Jabatan Sekolah-Sekolah melalui Unit Pendidikan Awal Kanak-Kanak dan Jabatan Pengurusan Pendidik, Kementerian Pendidikan, Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Centre for Early Childhood Care Education and Parenting (SEAMEO CECCEP), Indonesia.

 

Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat untuk merasmikan program berkenaan ialah Yang Mulia Dayang Hajah Marina Chek binti Bujang, Pengarah Sekolah-Sekolah, Kementerian Pendidikan.

 

Majlis dimulakan dengan Bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah dan Doa Selamat, diikuti dengan kata-kata aluan daripada Yang Mulia Profesor Vina Adriany, Pengarah SEAMEO CECCEP dan Yang Mulia Puan Komalasari, Pengarah Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini, Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset dan Teknologi, Republik Indonesia. Majlis diteruskan lagi dengan ucapan Tetamu Kehormat dan perasmian program.

 

Program berbentuk taklimat dan bengkel ini akan berlangsung selama empat (4) hari, bermula dari 10 hingga 13 Jun 2024 dengan melibatkan seramai 86 orang peserta yang terdiri daripada ketua-ketua kluster dan guru-guru pra-sekolah kerajaan di bawah Kementerian Pendidikan. Bengkel dan taklimat akan disampaikan oleh seramai 12 orang fasilitator dari Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan, Riset dan Teknologi dan SEAMEO CECCEP, Indonesia.

 

Antara objektif program ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kesedaran dan pemahaman tentang pentingnya penjagaan dan pendidikan awal kanak-kanak yang berkualiti. Melalui perkongsian pengetahuan dan amalan terbaik, program ini diharap akan dapat mempertingkatkan cara merancang masa depan yang lebih cerah untuk generasi akan datang. Selain itu, program ini juga bertujuan memupuk kerjasama antara pelbagai pihak, termasuk keluarga, masyarakat dan sekolah untuk memastikan hak serta keperluan kanak-kanak terjaga dengan baik.

 

Di samping itu, program ini memperkenalkan pendekatan pendidikan inklusif bagi memastikan setiap kanak-kanak, termasuk kanak-kanak berkeperluan khas, mendapat akses yang sama dalam pembelajaran.
