BRUNEI DARUSSALAM AND THE REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE
SCHOOL TWINNING PROGRAMME

BERAKAS – The Ministry of Education through the Department of Schools has coordinated a visit by the Sekolah Menengah Muda Hashim (SMMH) delegation of 12 Year 9 and 10 students as well as the principal and 2 teachers from the school to Montfort Secondary School (MSS), Republic of Singapore. The 5-day visit from 9 to 13 July 2024 is a School Twinning Programme between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore.
Present to bid farewell at the Brunei International Airport was Yang Mulia Dayang Hajah Marina Chek binti Bujang, Director of Schools, Ministry of Education.
This year's Brunei Darussalam and The Republic of Singapore School Twinning Programme is the second cycle of the programme held, where the first round took place from 2018 to 2019. It is hoped that this visit will be able to strengthen the close relationship and cooperation that exists between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore. During the visit, the students will have the opportunity to see more closely the implementation of the education system at the school, in addition to having the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience by participating in learning sessions and co-curricular activities with fellow students from MSS. In addition, the students will also have the opportunity to visit interesting and historical places in Singapore to learn the history and culture.
Also present at the Brunei International Airport were officers from the Department of Schools, Ministry of Education as well as parents and family members of the students.

PROGRAM SEKOLAH BERKEMBAR
NEGARA BRUNEI DARUSSALAM DAN REPUBLIK SINGAPURA

BERAKAS – Kementerian Pendidikan melalui Jabatan Sekolah-Sekolah telah menyelaras lawatan delegasi Sekolah Menengah Muda Hashim (SMMH) yang terdiri daripada 12 orang pelajar Tahun 9 dan Tahun 10 berserta pengetua dan 2 orang guru sekolah berkenaan ke Montfort Secondary School (MSS), Republik Singapura. Lawatan selama 5 hari bermula 9 hingga 13 Julai 2024 tersebut merupakan Program Sekolah Berkembar Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Republik Singapura.
Hadir di Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Brunei bagi mengucapkan selamat belayar ialah Yang Mulia Dayang Hajah Marina Chek binti Bujang, Pengarah Sekolah-Sekolah, Kementerian Pendidikan.
Program Sekolah Berkembar Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Republik Singapura pada tahun ini adalah pusingan kedua diadakan, di mana pusingan pertama telah diadakan pada tahun 2018 hingga tahun 2019. Lawatan ini diharap akan dapat meningkatkan lagi hubungan erat dan kerjasama yang sedia ada di antara Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Republik Singapura. Semasa lawatan itu nanti, para pelajar akan berpeluang untuk menyaksikan secara lebih dekat pelaksanaan sistem pendidikan di sekolah tersebut, selain berpeluang untuk menimba ilmu pengetahuan serta pengalaman dengan mengikuti sesi pembelajaran serta aktiviti kokurikulum bersama rakan-rakan pelajar dari MSS. Di samping itu, para pelajar juga akan berkesempatan untuk melawat ke tempat-tempat menarik dan bersejarah di Singapura bagi mempelajari sejarah dan kebudayaan di sana.
Turut hadir di Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Brunei ialah pegawai-pegawai dari Jabatan Sekolah-Sekolah Kementerian Pendidikan dan para ibu bapa serta ahli keluarga pelajar.
