BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN – The Ministry of Education through the Department of Scholarship Management today held the Scholarship Award and Agreement Signing Ceremony for Brunei Darussalam - Republic of Singapore Youth Scholarship Programme 2024/2025 Session at the Auditorium Hall, Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Dr Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md Salleh, Minister of Education.
The ceremony began with the recital of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Kesyukuran and followed by a welcoming speech by Yang Mulia Dayang Rosimah Sumaimah binti Haji Matassim, Acting Director of Scholarship Management, Ministry of Education as the chairperson of the ceremony.
The ceremony continued with the signing of agreement by all the scholarship recipients. Signing on behalf of the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam was Yang Mulia Dayang Rosimah Sumaimah binti Haji Matassim, the Acting Director of the Department of Scholarship Management and signing on behalf of the Republic of Singapore was His Excellency Laurence Bay Siow Hon, High Commissioner of the Republic of Singapore to Brunei Darussalam. Meanwhile, the scholarship recipients signed the agreement accompanied by two (2) guarantors, consisting of the students' parents, guardians, or close relatives.
A total of six (6) students have been awarded the Brunei Darussalam–Singapore Youth Scholarship to enroll in secondary-level studies in Singapore, commencing January 2025. The list of the scholarship recipients is as follows:

The ceremony ended with the presentation of the award certificates to the scholarship recipients by the Guest of Honour.
Also present were the Permanent Secretaries, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Higher Education), Officers from the Ministry of Education, Head of Schools and parents/guardians of the scholarship recipients.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN – Kementerian Pendidikan melalui Jabatan Pengurusan Biasiswa pada hari ini telah mengadakan Majlis Penganugerahan dan Menandatangani Perjanjian bagi Skim Biasiswa Pendidikan Belia Negara Brunei Darussalam-Republik Singapura Sesi 2024/2025 bertempat di Dewan Auditorium, Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat majlis ialah Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Dr Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md Salleh, Menteri Pendidikan.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah dan Doa Kesyukuran dan diikuti dengan ucapan alu-aluan daripada Yang Mulia Dayang Rosimah Sumaimah binti Haji Matassim, Pemangku Pengarah Pengurusan Biasiswa, Kementerian Pendidikan selaku Pengerusi Majlis.
Majlis diteruskan dengan penandatanganan perjanjian bagi penerima-penerima anugerah biasiswa berkenaan. Menandatangani bagi pihak Kerajaan Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan dan Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam ialah Yang Mulia Dayang Rosimah Sumaimah binti Haji Matassim, Pemangku Pengarah Jabatan Pengurusan Biasiswa dan bagi pihak kerajaan Republik Singapura ialah Tuan Yang Terutama Laurence Bay Siow Hon, Pesuruhjaya Tinggi Republik Singapura ke Negara Brunei Darussalam. Sementara itu, para penerima biasiswa telah menandatangani perjanjian tersebut bersama dua (2) orang penjamin yang terdiri daripada ibu bapa, penjaga pelajar atau ahli keluarga terdekat.
Seramai enam (6) orang pelajar telah dianugerahkan Biasiswa Pendidikan Belia Negara Brunei Darussalam-Republik Singapura untuk mengikuti pengajian peringkat menengah di Republik Singapura yang akan bermula pada bulan Januari 2025. Senarai penerima anugerah biasiswa tersebut adalah seperti berikut:

Majlis diakhiri dengan penyampaian sijil-sijil penganugerahan kepada penerima-penerima biasiswa oleh tetamu kehormat.
Turut hadir ialah Setiausaha-Setiausaha Tetap, Timbalan Setiausaha Tetap (Pengajian Tinggi), Pengarah-Pengarah, Pegawai-Pegawai dari Kementerian Pendidikan, Pemimpin-Peimipin Sekolah dan para ibu bapa/penjaga penerima biasiswa.
