THE COMMENCEMENT OF THE FIRST SCHOOL TERM FOR 2025 ACADEMIC YEAR

BERAKAS – The first school term for the 2025 academic year for all government and private primary and  secondary schools, colleges and sixth form centres under the purview of the Ministry of Education as well as Ugama and Arabic schools under the Ministry of Religious Affairs has commenced today, Thursday, 2 Rejab 1446 corresponding to 2 January 2025.

The school session for pre-schools in government primary schools nationwide will start on Monday, 5 Rejab 1446 corresponding to 6 January 2025. As for international schools and training centres, Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) and Public Higher Education Institutions (IPTA) as well as Private Institutions (IPTS) will start according to their respective academic calendars.

With the start of the new schools session, the Ministry of Education advises and seeks the cooperation of parents and guardians to ensure their children attend school sessions regularly, in ensuring their continued learning and education, especially for those within the age range of the Compulsory Education Act.

PERMULAAN SESI PERSEKOLAHAN BAGI PENGGAL PERTAMA TAHUN AKADEMIK 2025

BERAKAS – Sesi persekolahan bagi penggal pertama tahun akademik 2025 bagi semua sekolah rendah, menengah dan maktab serta pusat tingkatan enam kerajaan dan swasta di bawah kawalan Kementerian Pendidikan dan sekolah-sekolah ugama dan arab di bawah kawalan Kementerian Hal Ehwal Ugama telah bermula pada hari ini, Khamis, 2 Rejab 1446 bersamaan  dengan 2 Januari 2025.

Sesi persekolahan bagi prasekolah di sekolah-sekolah rendah kerajaan seluruh negara akan bermula pada hari Isnin, 5 Rejab 1446 bersamaan dengan 6 Januari 2025. Sementara itu, sekolah-sekolah antarabangsa dan pusat-pusat latihan, Institusi Pendidikan  Teknikal Brunei (IBTE) dan Institusi-Institusi Pengajian Tinggi Awam (IPTA) dan Swasta (IPTS) pula akan bermula mengikut kalendar akademik masing-masing.

Sempena bermulanya sesi persekolahan baru ini, Kementerian Pendidikan sukacita menyeru dan menasihatkan para ibu bapa dan penjaga untuk memberikan kerjasama dalam memastikan anak-anak mereka menghadiri sesi persekolahan agar tidak tercicir dalam pembelajaran atau mendapat pendidikan, lebih-lebih lagi bagi yang dalam lingkungan umur Akta Pendidikan Wajib.
