THIRD WORKSHOP OF THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION'S POLICY FRAMEWORK

ON A WHOLE-OF-EDUCATION APPROACH TO PREVENT AND ADRESS BULLYING ISSUES

BERAKAS – The Ministry of Education today held the third session of the Workshop on the Ministry of Education's policy Framework regarding a Whole-of-Education Approach to Prevent and Address Bullying Issues, as part of ongoing efforts to create a safe, empathetic, and conducive learning environment in all educational institutions at the Main Hall, Ministry of Education.

Attending as the Guest of Honour and Lead facilitator of the workshop is Yang Mulia Dr. Shamsiah Zuraini Kanchanawati binti Haji Tajuddin, Permanent Secretary (Core Education), Ministry of Education.

Approximately 60 various stakeholders from government agencies, the private sector, and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) attended the workshop. The event began with a recitation of a doa selamat and doa khas led by Yang Mulia Awang Haji Norhisyam bin Haji Mohd Noor, Pengetua, Sekolah Arab Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, followed by a welcoming remark by the Guest of Honour and Lead facilitator of the workshop.

Today's workshop was divided into three sessions, starting with Problem Identification and Current Initiatives, followed by the second session on Future Initiatives, and the third session on Performance Indicators (KPI), concluded with a Learning Circle.

 

Among the objectives of the workshop were to coordinate and consolidate initiatives from various stakeholders in support of a whole of education approach to prevent and address bullying. It is also hoped to develop and identify Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for monitoring and evaluation of the policy framework whole-of-education approach to prevent and address bullying.

The workshop was organised by the Office of Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Corporate), Ministry of Education. The second workshop which focused on framework development was held on Saturday, 30 August 2025.

BENGKEL KETIGA BAGI RANGKA KERJA DASAR KEMENTERIAN PENDIDIKAN

 MENGENAI PENDEKATAN PENDIDIKAN SECARA MENYELURUH

BAGI MENCEGAH DAN MENANGANI ISU BULI

BERAKAS – Kementerian Pendidikan hari ini telah mengadakan sesi ketiga Bengkel Rangka Kerja Dasar Kementerian Pendidikan mengenai Pendekatan Pendidikan Secara Menyeluruh bagi Mencegah dan Menangani Isu Buli sebagai sebahagian daripada usaha berterusan untuk mewujudkan persekitaran pembelajaran yang selamat, berempati dan kondusif di semua institusi Pendidikan bertempat di Dewan Utama, Kementerian Pendidikan.

 

Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat dan Fasilitator Utama (Lead facilitator) bengkel ialah Yang Mulia Dr. Shamsiah Zuraini Kanchanawati binti Haji Tajuddin, Setiausaha Tetap (Pendidikan Teras), Kementerian Pendidikan.

 

Seramai lebih kurang 60 orang pelbagai pihak berkepentingan daripada agensi - agensi Kerajaan, sektor swasta dan pertubuhan bukan kerajaan (NGO) telah menghadiri bengkel tersebut. Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan doa selamat dan doa khas yang dipimpin oleh Yang Mulia Awang Haji Norhisyam bin Haji Mohd Noor, Pengetua, Sekolah Arab Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah dan seterusnya ucapan alu-aluan daripada Tetamu Kehormat dan Fasilitator Utama (Lead facilitator) bengkel.

Bengkel pada hari ini dibahagikan kepada tiga sesi yang dimulakan dengan Mengenalpasti masalah dan isu semasa (Problem Identification and current initiatives), diikuti dengan sesi Kedua, Inisiatif Masa Depan (Future Initiatives) serta sesi ketiga Petunjuk Prestasi (Performance Indicator [KPI]) dan diakhiri dengan Learning Circle.

Antara matlamat bengkel diadakan adalah untuk menyelaras dan menyatukan inisiatif daripada pelbagai pihak berkepentingan dalam menyokong Rangka Kerja Dasar melalui Pendekatan Pendidikan menyeluruh (whole-of-education approach) untuk mencegah dan menangani buli. Ia juga diharap dapat membangun dan mengenalpasti Petunjuk Prestasi Utama (KPI) untuk memantau dan menilai rangka kerja dasar pendekatan pendidikan menyeluruh untuk mencegah dan menangani buli bagi memastikan ianya adalah berkesan dan mampan.
