Closing Ceremony of Virtual Customised Training Programme on Strategic Management for High-Achieving Organisation for Don Bosco One-TVET, Philippines

A Customised Training Programme on Strategic Management for High-Achieving Organisations for Don Bosco One-TVET, Philippines, organised by SEAMEO VOCTECH (SV) Regional Centre for 27 participants from Don Bosco One-TVET Centre, was concluded with a virtual Closing Ceremony on 15 October 2021.

Also present during the closing ceremony were Dr. Fr. Jose Dindo S. Vitug, SDB, Executive Director of Don Bosco One-TVET Centre, Philippines, Pengiran Haji Mohd Sufri Pengiran Ali, SV Deputy Director of Administration, Dr. Paryono, SV Deputy Director for Professional Affairs, and Dr. Jaya Priah Kasinathan, SV Management Specialist cum Facilitator of this training programme, as well as SV Management and Staff.

 

The 5-day virtual training programme has equipped the participants with the sought-for knowledge and skills in strategic management, which will serve as one of the managerial instruments to ensure high performance, productivity and sustainability of their respective institutions.

 

Centre Director of SEAMEO VOCTECH, Alias Haji Abu Bakar, in his speech at the closing ceremony, expressed his hope that the areas covered in the training were comprehensive, relevant and helpful for the participants to tackle their current and future strategic planning process with their teams in their respective Centres. He then expressed his sincerest gratitude to the Management of Don Bosco One-TVET Centre Philippines for their continued support to SEAMEO VOCTECH as their chosen training partners in capacity building and professional development courses for their management and staff.

 

Executive Director of Don Bosco-One TVET Centre, Dr. Fr. Jose Dindo S. Vitug, SDB., in his speech thanked SEAMEO VOCTECH for their effort in providing relevant training programmes for the TVET industry. He highlighted that the knowledge and skill attained through this training programme will be brought to all Don Bosco TVET Centres in Philippines, as their vision has always been to be the benchmark and premier provider of Technical and Vocational Education in the Philippines. He believed that this will better equip the directors of each Don Bosco One-TVET Centre in the Philippines to be able to plan and prepare their respective centres to be high performing institutions.

 

Whereas participant representative, Fr. Abner M. Santos, Technical Director of Don Bosco Training Centre of Naga, Inc. shared his view of the training where he expressed that it is a highly recommended course, where the delivery was both fun and interesting and most importantly there were many take-aways from the course that he and the other participants are indeed very eager to apply in their current and future strategic planning at their respective institutions.
