HANDING OVER KEYS CEREMONY FOR SULTAN HASSAN SECONDARY SCHOOL, TEMBURONG 

Monday, 29 Rejab 1444H / 20 February 2023M 

TEMBURONG – The Ministry of Education through the Department of Planning and Estate Management today held The Handing Over Keys Ceremony for the new Sultan Hassan Secondary School building which is located at Kampong Batu Apoi, Mukim Batu Apoi, Temburong District. It has an area of 15.419 acres. The new building will replace the previous Sultan Hassan Secondary School’s building that was originally built in 1984 and was used since 1986. 

Present as the Guest of Honour to officiate the ceremony is Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Dr. Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md Salleh, the Minister of Education. 

Ceremony began with the recital of Surah Al-Fatihah and was followed by handing over keys by Yang Mulia IR. Awang Haji Amer Hishamuddin bin Pehin Orang Kaya Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Zakaria, the Permanent Secretary (Infrastructure, Housing and Professional), Ministry of Development to Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Dr. Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md Salleh, the Minister of Education. The key was then handed over by the guest of honourr to Yang Mulia Awang Helmy bin Haji Abdul Rahman, the acting principal of Sultan Hassan Secondary School, Temburong. After that, the recital of Doa Selamat was led by Yang Mulia Haji Kamaruzaman bin Kamis, Monitoring Officer from the Mosque’s Affair Office of Temburong District. 

The rebuilding project is in line with the long-term plan and the Ministry of Education's intention to provide a more conducive and quality educational infrastructure via the 11th National Development Plan.  

The Ministry of Education has entrusted the Department of Development, Public Works Department as project implementor and the contract was awarded to LCY Development Sdn. Bhd. using the "Design and Build" approach.  

The project started on 16th February 2021 and was completed on 31st January 2023 with a total cost of $16,308,152.00. Among the facilities provided are Administration Block, Multipurpose Hall Block, Classroom Block, Science Laboratory Block, Library Block, Surau, Cafeteria Block and Dining Hall, Parking Area, Drop-off Area, Assembly Area, Perimeter Fence, Football Field, Security Guard Post, Rubbish Collection Point, Sub-Station and Network Infrastructures.  

The ceremony concluded with the visit to the facilities such as the Administration Block, Classroom Block, Science Laboratory Block, Library Block, Surau, Cafeteria Block and Dining Hall. 

Also present at the ceremony were Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Sulaiman bin Haji Nasir, a member of The Legislative Council; Deputy Permanent Secretary (Core Education) and the Deputy Permanent Secretary (Higher Education), District Officer of the Temburong District, Penghulu of Mukim Batu Apoi, Head of Village of Kampong Batu Apoi; and officers from the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Development.

MAJLIS PENYERAHAN KUNCI BAGI SEKOLAH MENENGAH SULTAN HASSAN, TEMBURONG 

Hari Isnin, 29 Rejab 1444H / 20 Februari 2023M 

TEMBURONG – Kementerian Pendidikan melalui Jabatan Perancangan dan Pengurusan Estet pada hari ini telah mengadakan Majlis Penyerahan Kunci bagi Bangunan Baru Sekolah Menengah Sultan Hassan yang terletak di Kampong Batu Apoi, Mukim Batu Apoi, Daerah Temburong dengan keluasan 15.419 ekar.  Bangunan sekolah tersebut akan menggantikan bangunan Sekolah Menengah Sultan Hassan Bangar yang asal dibina sekitar tahun 1984 dan mula digunakan pada tahun 1986. 

Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat ialah Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Dr. Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md Salleh, Menteri Pendidikan. 

Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah dan seterusnya acara penyerahan kunci bangunan oleh Yang Mulia IR. Awang Haji Amer Hishamuddin bin Pehin Orang Kaya Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Zakaria, Setiausaha Tetap (Infrastruktur, Perumahan dan Professional), Kementerian Pembangunan kepada Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Dr. Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md Salleh, Menteri Pendidikan. Seterusnya kunci bangunan sekolah diserahkan oleh tetamu kehormat kepada Yang Mulia Awang Helmy bin Haji Abdul Rahman, pemangku pengetua Sekolah Menengah Sultan Hassan, Temburong. Majlis diteruskan lagi dengan bacaan doa selamat yang diketuai oleh Yang Mulia Haji Kamaruzaman bin Kamis, Pegawai Pemantau Daerah Temburong, Pejabat Hal Ehwal Masjid, Temburong. 

Projek pembinaan semula tersebut adalah selaras dengan rancangan jangka panjang dan hasrat Kementerian Pendidikan untuk menyediakan infrastruktur pendidikan yang lebih kondusif dan berkualiti melalui pelan Rancangan Kemajuan Negara ke-11.  

Pihak Kementerian Pendidikan telah mengamanahkan pengurusan projek tersebut kepada Jabatan Kemajuan, Jabatan Kerja Raya dan telah dianugerahkan kepada  LCY Development Sdn. Bhd. melalui kaedah "Design and Build".  

Projek pembinaan sekolah tersebut bermula pada 16 Februari 2021 dan selesai dilaksanakan pada                          31 Januari 2023 dengan harga pembinaan berjumlah $16,308,152.00. Di antara kemudahan-kemudahan yang disediakan adalah bangunan Blok Pentadbiran, Blok Dewan Serbaguna, Blok Bilik Darjah, Blok Makmal Sains, Blok Perpustakaan, Blok Surau, Blok Kantin dan Dewan Makan, Kawasan Letak Kereta, Tempat Penurunan, Tempat penuntut beratur, Pagar Keliling Kawasan, Tempat Letak Kereta, Laluan beratap, Padang Sekolah, Pondok Penjaga Keselamatan, Pondok Pembuangan Sampah, Sub-Stesen dan Rangkaian Infrastruktur. 

Majlis diakhiri dengan lawatan di kawasan bangunan seperti Blok Pentadbiran, Blok Bilik Darjah, Blok Makmal Sains, Blok Perpustakaan, Blok Surau, Blok Kantin dan Dewan Makan.
