About Us
The establishment of the Education Technology Centre is important for the Ministry of Education to ensure success in implementing educational technology initiatives. It will provide systematic support (caused) to the Ministry’s main stakeholders and provide coordination and communication between them, which is essential for overall success.

Objectives

1. Quality of Education

Improve the quality of the current and future use of Educational technology at all levels of Education.

2. Digital Skills

Enhance teachers’ digital skills and competencies through human capacity building, and support teachers to develop students’ digital skills so that they are ready to tackle future global challenges.

3. Digital Resources

Support the development and online development of local digital content and Education for all levels of Education.

4. Equity

Supporting equity development in Education through the use of innovative technologies that can create new learning opportunities for all students, including students with special needs.

5. Recognize best practices

Support and promote innovation and agility in educational institutions, disseminate knowledge, best practices and success of teachers in the use of educational technology.

 

Functions

1. Strategic Direction
Determine the strategic direction of educational technology for teaching and learning in the 21st century.

2. Surveillance Strategy
Oversee the planning, implementation and management of technological transformation planning plans in Education.

3. Energy Source Capacity
Building the capacity of human resources through consultation, to strengthen the pedagogy and transformation of the use of ICT in teaching and learning.

4. Digital Content Development
Lead the development of digital content to support curriculum, assessment and professional development.

5. Access and Resources of Educational Technology
To communicate with stakeholders regarding access to educational technology services and resources.
