SEAMEO VOCTECH (SV) was established as a Regional Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) on 28 August 1990. This founding was the result of the Memorandum of Agreement signed between the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organisation (SEAMEO) and the Government of Brunei Darussalam. Also based on the needs expressed by the SEAMEO Member Countries, the feasibility study on SV was submitted for approval at the 24th SEAMEO Council Conference in Malacca in 1989. The Government of. Now, SV is one among the 24 SEAMEO Centres and network of SEAMEO.
The three major services offered by SV are Training and Professional Development Services, Research and Consultancy Services, and Knowledge Management and Sharing. The Centre provides four categories of training services by conducting Regional, In-Country, Customised and Special Training Porgrammes in; Curriculum Development, Management, Teacher Education, Information and Communication Technology, Research and Online Training.
