Brunei Darussalam Delegates Head To Singapore For STEP-Sunburst Youth Camp (SYC) 2019

SUNDAY, 1 DECEMBER 2019 – A delegation of eight Lower Sixth students from Tutong Sixth Form Centre were chosen to represent Brunei Darussalam to Singapore to join the Singapore Technologies Endowment Programme (STEP)- Sunburst Youth Camp (SYC) 2019, starting on the 1st until 7th December 2019. The head of delegation is Cikgu Muhammad Shahnofazli bin Hj Sabli, Deputy Principal / Education Officer from Tutong Sixth Form Centre.

The STEP Sunburst Youth Camp (SYC) is a gathering of young leaders from Asia who will spend an intensive and enriching one-week stay in Singapore. The main objective of the program is to provide the opportunity for students to understand and learn the various cultures, networking and build long-term ties with fellow young leaders across Asia.

 

Activities during the camp include Team building Quest at Sentosa, High and Low Elements, Heritage Adventure around Singapore, Art Experience (Visual Arts and Performing Arts), cultural performance, exhibition and presentation.

 

Present to bid the delegates farewell at the Brunei International Airport were Awang Abdullah bin Awang Ismail, Acting Senior Special Duties Officer, Department of Schools; Dayang Hajah Murni binti Abdullah, Principal of Tutong Sixth Form Centre; Dayang Syahira binti Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Yusoff, Acting Head of School's Extra Curricular Activity, Department of Schools and other officers as well as family members of the delegates.

PROGRAM "STEP-SUNBURST YOUTH CAMP  (SYC) 2019" DI SINGAPURA

 

AHAD, 1 DISEMBER 2019 - Seramai lapan orang pelajar Tingkatan Enam Bawah dari Pusat Tingkatan Enam Tutong telah terpilih untuk mewakili Brunei Darussalam ke Singapura bagi menyertai Singapore Technologies Endowment Programme (STEP)-Sunburst Youth Camp (SYC) 2019 bermula pada 1 hingga 7 Disember 2019. Rombongan pelajar diketuai oleh Cikgu Muhammad Shahnofazli bin Hj Sabli, Timbalan Pengetua / Pegawai Pelajaran, Pusat Tingkatan Enam, Tutong.

 

"Sunburst Youth Camp" (SYC) mengumpulkan pemimpin-pemimpin belia dari Asia yang mana pelajar akan menjalani program yang intensif dan bermanfaat sepanjang berada di Singapura. Objektif utama progam SYC adalah untuk memberi peluang kepada pelajar-pelajar mengenali dan mempelajari pelbagai budaya, adat resam serta membina rangkaian serta hubungan jangka panjang dengan pemimpin muda di rantau Asia.

 

Antara aktiviti yang akan dijalankan sepanjang perkhemahan tersebut adalah "Team building Quest" di Sentosa, "High and Low Elements", pengembaraan warisan budaya di sekitar Singapura, kesenian (visual dan persembahan), persembahan kebudayaan, pameran serta pembentangan. 

 

Hadir di Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Brunei bagi mengucapkan selamat jalan ialah Yang Mulia Awang Abdullah bin Awang Ismail, Pemangku Pegawai Tugas-Tugas Khas Kanan, Jabatan Sekolah-Sekolah; Cikgu Hajah Murni binti Abdullah, Pengetua Pusat Tingkatan Enam Tutong; Dayang Syahira binti Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Yusoff, Pemangku Ketua Unit Kegiatan Luar Sekolah Jabatan Sekolah Sekolah; pegawai-pegawai daripada Jabatan Sekolah-Sekolah serta ahli-ahli keluarga delegasi Brunei Darussalam.
