​Get Together Ceremony with Brunei students in Singapore Conclude MOE Delegates Visit

WORKING VISIT OF THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION DELEGATION TO THE REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE

GET-TOGETHER CEREMONY WITH BRUNEI STUDENTS STUDYING IN SINGAPORE

The Ministry of Education delegation currently in the Republic of Singapore on a working visit today held a Get-Together Ceremony with Brunei Darussalam students studying in the country. This ceremony is one of the activities in the programme outlined during the working visit which started on 28 September 2022.

In his welcoming speech, Yang Mulia Dr. Haji Azman bin Ahmad, Permanent Secretary (Higher Education), Ministry of Education as the head of the delegation advised the students to always remain focused on their studies while also simultaneously taking advantage of all the opportunities available while studying in the country. 

During the gathering, the Ministry of Education delegation had the opportunity to interact with the students and also listen to their experiences while studying in Singapore.

Also present at the gathering was His Excellency Dato Paduka Haji Sidek bin Haji Ali, High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Singapore. Currently, a total of 17 Brunei Darussalam students registered with the Ministry of Education are studying in Singapore from secondary to tertiary level. 

 

The working visit of the delegation of the Ministry of Education, Brunei Darussalam to Singapore is aimed to take a closer look at the schools and hostels for the placement of Brunei Darussalam students under the Brunei-Singapore Youth Education Scholarship. The delegation comprised the Senior Special Duties Officer, Scholarship Management Department, Yang Mulia Awang Julaihi bin Mohamad; Acting Director of Schools, Yang Mulia Dayang Nor Asurah binti Haji Meluddin; Head ofCentre for the Development of Gifted and Talented Education (EDGE), Yang Mulia Dr. Mona Aliana binti Dato Paduka Haji Alimin; and Acting Assistant Director, Office of the Permanent Secretary (Higher Education), Yang Mulia Awang Haji Mohd Fadzillah bin Haji Abdullah. Also joining the delegation was Education Attache, Yang Mulia Awang Sophan bin Afandi. The delegation will leave the country on 2 October2022.
