The lower secondary level covers two years of common curriculum i.e. Year 7 and Year 8. At the end of Year 8, students sit for the Student Progress Examination (SPE). General Secondary Education Programme and Applied Secondary Education Programme, students will sit for Brunei Cambridge General Certificate of Education (BC GCE) 'O' level and International General Certificate of Secondary Examination (IGCSE). Special Applied Programme, students will be enrolled to PEARSON Business and Technology Education Council (BTEC) Programme which gears to Vocational and Technical Education. *Special Educational Needs Programme at the secondary level is a continuity of the Individualised Education Plan (IEP) in primary schools. One such Special Educational Needs Programme that is currently implemented in secondary schools is the Pre-Vocational Programme. This five-year programme will cater to the needs of selected/identified students with special educational needs at the secondary level. Besides developing their basic academic, living and social skills, the programme also seeks to instil vocational and work skills through appropriate work placements.
