​FINAL STAGE AND PRIZE PRESENTATION CEREMONY OF

THE NATIONAL GRASSROOTS FOOTBALL FOR SCHOOL FESTIVAL

BERAKAS – The Ministry of Education through the Physical and Recreation Division, Department of Co-Curriculum Education in collaboration with the Brunei Darussalam Football Association (FABD) today held the Final Stage and Prize Presentation Ceremony of the National Grassroots Football for School Festival at Rumah FABD, Berakas.

Present as the Guest of Honor and presented the prizes was Yang Mulia Awang Julaihi bin Mohamad/Mohamat, Acting Director, Department of Co-Curriculum Education, Ministry of Education, Brunei Darussalam.

A total of 300 participants consisting of government and private primary school students from the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Religious Affairs participated in the Festival where teams were formed according to their respective schools. The preliminary round of the festival was held on Sunday, 12 March 2023.

The festival aims to expose students to football from primary level and to instill values through sports such as a healthy lifestyle, discipline, resilience, leadership as well as sportsmanship, teamwork and competitiveness. The festival is also used as a platform to contribute to the development of football in Brunei Darussalam at the grassroots level. In addition, the festival also supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) in ensuring a healthy lifestyle and in addition promoting well-being for all ages.

PERINGKAT AKHIR DAN MAJLIS PENYAMPAIAN HADIAH

NATIONAL GRASSROOTS FOOTBALL FOR SCHOOL FESTIVAL

BERAKAS – Kementerian Pendidikan melalui Bahagian Jasmani dan Rekreasi, Jabatan Pendidikan Kokurikulum dengan kerjasama Persatuan Bolasepak Brunei Darussalam (FABD) mengadakan Peringkat Akhir dan Majlis Penyampaian Hadiah National Grassroots Football for School Festival bertempat di Rumah FABD, Berakas. 

Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat di pertandingan tersebut dan seterusnya menyempurnakan majlis penyampaian hadiah ialah Yang Mulia Awang Julaihi bin Mohamad / Mohamat, Pemangku Pengarah, Jabatan Pendidikan Kokurikulum, Kementerian Pendidikan, Negara Brunei Darussalam.

Seramai 300 orang peserta yang terdiri daripada pelajar-pelajar sekolah rendah kerajaan dan swasta di Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kementerian Hal Ehwal Ugama telah menyertai Festival tersebut di mana penyertaan adalah mengikut pasukan sekolah masing-masing. Pusingan awal festival telah diadakan pada hari Ahad, 12 Mac 2023.​

Antara tujuan festival diadakan adalah untuk memberi pendedahan awal kepada para pelajar kepada sukan bola sepak dari peringkat rendah selain dari menanam nilai-nilai murni melalui sukan seperti gaya hidup yang sihat, disiplin, berdaya tahan, kepimpinan serta semangat kesukanan, semangat berpasukan dan juga semangat berdaya saing. Festival berkenaan juga dijadikan sebagai landasan untuk menyumbang kepada perkembangan sukan bola sepak di Negara Brunei Darussalam di peringkat akar umbi. Selain itu, festival berkenaan juga menyokong Program Pembangunan Berdaya Tahan (Sustainable Development Goals, SDG) dalam memastikan kehidupan yang sihat dan di samping itu menggalakkan kesejahteraan untuk semua lapisan peringkat umur.
