ANNOUNCEMENT ON HECAS 2024 (1ST ROUND) ONLINE APPLICATION

BERAKAS – The Ministry of Education through the Department of Higher Education is pleased to announce that the HECAS 2024 (1st Round) online application to local Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), i.e. Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB), Politeknik Brunei (PB) and for the Brunei Government Overseas Scholarship under the Department of Scholarship Management, Ministry of Education for the 2024/2025 academic year will commence on Thursday, 18 January 2024 at 9:00 a.m. and will be closed on Thursday, 29 February 2024 at 3:00 p.m.  The programme levels offered are Level 5 Diploma, Higher National Diploma and First Degree programmes.

 

The HECAS online application is opened for holders of valid Brunei Darussalam issued identity cards i.e. yellow, purple or green.  HECAS does not process the following applications:

 

  1. Government servants applying for in-service training; and
  2. Foreign applicants who do not have valid Brunei Darussalam issued IC.

 

Applicants are allowed to use their predicted results to apply to local universities (UBD, UNISSA & UTB) or for Overseas Scholarship. They will receive a conditional offer upon meeting the entry requirement set by the institution concerned.

 

Before the closing date of HECAS, applicants are required to:

                          

  1. Settle overdue payments upon HECAS registration through BIBD Mobile Application or by cash at the payment counter located at:
    1. Counter 8 (Cash and Revenue Unit), Ground Floor, Block C, One Stop Sevice Centre, Ministry of Education;
    2. Pusat Tingkatan Enam Tutong;
    3. Sekolah Menengah Sultan Hassan, Temburong.

 

  1. Fulfil requirements stated in the Institution Checklist.

PENGUMUMAN PENGAMBILAN PUSINGAN PERTAMA HECAS 2024

Hari Rabu, 5 Rejab 1445H / 17 Januari 2024M

 

BERAKAS – Kementerian Pendidikan melalui Jabatan Pengajian Tinggi sukacita memaklumkan bahawa pengambilan HECAS 2024 Pusingan Pertama secara dalam talian bagi kemasukan ke Institusi-Institusi Pengajian Tinggi Awam (IPTA) iaitu Universiti Brunei Darusslam (UBD), Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB), Politeknik Brunei (PB) dan permohonan Biasiswa Kerajaan ke Luar Negeri di bawah kendalian Jabatan Pengurusan Biasiswa, Kementerian Pendidikan bagi tahun akademik 2024/2025 akan bermula pada Hari Khamis, 18 Januari 2024, jam 9.00 pagi dan akan ditutup pada Hari Khamis, 29 Februari 2024, jam 3.00 petang.  Kursus-kursus yang ditawarkan adalah di peringkat Ijazah Pertama, Diploma Tertinggi Kebangsaan  dan Diploma Level 5.

 

HECAS dibukakan kepada pemegang kad pintar Brunei Darussalam yang sah, iaitu kad pintar yang berwarna Kuning, Unggu atau Hijau. HECAS tidak memproses permohonan seperti berikut:

 

  1. Skim Latihan Dalam Perkhidmatan; dan
  2. Permohonan pelajar antarabangsa yang tidak mempunyai kad pintar yang tersebut di atas.

 

Pemohon boleh memakai keputusan yang diramal (Predicted Result) untuk memohon ke IPTA (UBD, UNISSA dan UTB) atau permohonan Biasiswa Kerajaan ke Luar Negeri di bawah kendalian Bahagian Biasiswa, Kementerian Pendidikan. Pemohon yang berjaya akan diberi tawaran bersyarat (Conditional Offer) oleh institusi berkenaan.

 

Sebelum tarikh tutup HECAS, pemohon adalah dikehendaki untuk:

                          

  1. Membuat pembayaran tertunggak melalui BIBD Mobile Application atau secara tunai di kaunter pembayaran di kaunter-kaunter berikut:

a.     Kaunter 8 (Unit Tunai dan Hasil), Blok C, Tingkat Bawah, Pusat Perkhidmatan Setempat, Kementerian Pendidikan;

b.     Pusat Tingkatan Enam Tutong;

c.     Sekolah Menengah Sultan Hassan, Temburong.

 

  1. Memenuhi syarat-syarat yang dinyatakan dalam Institution Checklist.

 

Bagi keterangan lanjut, bolehlah melayari laman web Kementerian Pendidikan di www.moe.gov.bn atau laman web HECAS yang baru di hecas.moe.gov.bn.
