SECOND DAY OF THE 4TH EDGE STUDENTS SELF-DEVELOPMENT AND CAREER PROGRAMME

Sunday, 13 July 2025 – The Ministry of Education, through the CentrE for the Development of Gifted and Talented Education (EDGE), Department of Special Education, held the second day of the 4th EDGE Student Self-Development and Career Programme at Life Long Learning Center (L3C).
The programme commenced with a Career Pathway/ Progress/Guidance Session conducted by the CentrE for the Development of Gifted and Talented Education (EDGE) and teachers for the Gifted Education. The students also had the opportunity to continue planning and preparing for the Community Outreach Project in their respective EDGE CARES groups to be implemented at the 2025 Leadership Camp. These projects are a collaboration between EDGE students and several local Non-Government Organisations (NGOs).
The programme concluded with the EDGE Alumni Celebration Ceremony for the 2024 and 2025 cohorts. The ceremony featured the presentation of certificates and souvenirs to the honoured students, officiated by YM Dr Mona Aliana binti Dato Paduka Awang Haji Mohd Alimin, Acting Director of Higher Education, who also serves as the Head of EDGE CentrE. A video montage showcasing the students' participation and achievements in international competitions was also presented.

Ahad, 13 Julai 2025 - Kementerian Pendidikan, melalui Pusat Perkembangan Pendidikan Cerdas Pintar dan Berbakat (EDGE), Jabatan Pendidikan Khas telah mengadakan hari kedua Program Perkembangan Kendiri dan Kerjaya Pelajar-Pelajar EDGE kali ke-4 di Pusat Pembelajaran Sepanjang Hayat.
Program dimulakan dengan Sesi 'Career Pathway/ Progress/Guidance' yang dikendalikan oleh Pusat Perkembangan Pendidikan Cerdas Pintar dan Berbakat (EDGE) dan dibantu oleh guru-guru Pendidikan Cerdas Pintar. Para pelajar juga berpeluang untuk meneruskan perancangan dan persediaan bagi 'Community Outreach Project' di dalam kumpulan 'EDGE CARES' masing-masing yang akan dilaksanakan semasa Perkhemahan Kepimpinan 2025 nanti. Projek-projek ini adalah kerjasama di antara pelajar-pelajar EDGE dengan beberapa pihak 'Non-Government Organisations (NGOs)' tempatan.
Program diakhiri dengan Majlis Meraikan Alumni EDGE bagi kohort tahun 2024 dan 2025. Majlis turut diserikan dengan penyampaian sijil dan cenderahati kepada para pelajar yang diraikan, yang disempurnakan oleh YM Dr Mona Aliana binti Dato Paduka Awang Haji Mohd Alimin, Pemangku Pengarah Pengajian Tinggi, yang juga selaku Ketua Pusat EDGE. Acara turut menampilkan tayangan video pencapaian dan penyertaan pelajar-pelajar EDGE dalam pelbagai pertandingan di peringkat antarabangsa.
