PARTICIPATION OF STUDENTS FROM BRUNEI DARUSSALAM

IN THE CO-ACADEMIC COMPETITION IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE INTERNATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS PROGRAMME: E-WASTE DAY SIPITANG 2025 (eWA'25)

ONG SUM PING – The Ministry of Education, through the Department of Schools, today coordinated the participation of four teachers and eight students from Sekolah Rendah Kasat, Sekolah Rendah Kampong Menengah, Sekolah Rendah Lumut and Sekolah Rendah Amar Pahlawan in the Co-Academic Competition held in conjunction with the International Environmental Awareness Programme: E-Waste Day Sipitang 2025 (eWA'25), which will take place from 17 to 18 October 2025 in Pekan Sipitang, Sabah, Malaysia.

Present at Sekolah Tinggi Perempuan Raja Isteri to bid farewell to the delegation was Yang Mulia Awang Md Danny bin Aimi, Acting Senior Special Duties Officer (Corporate), Department of Schools, Ministry of Education.

 

The two-day programme is a co-academic activity organised by Sekolah Kebangsaan Pekan Sipitang, Sabah, in collaboration with the Department of Environment, Sabah. Throughout the programme, students will participate in the Upcycle Waste Competition and the Fashion Showcase from Recycled Materials.

The programme aims to provide a platform for the public, government departments and private companies to take part in environmental-based activities. It also seeks to inspire young people to be more innovative and creative in addressing environmental issues, while fostering a spirit of healthy competition through various contest-based activities. In addition, the programme aspires to raise awareness on the importance of environmental health and the steps that can be taken to protect the planet through the practices of reuse and recycling.

 

Also present during the delegation's departure were officers from the Department of Schools, Ministry of Education, as well as parents and family members of the students.

DALAM PERTANDINGAN KO-AKADEMIK SEMPENA PROGRAM KESEDARAN ALAM SEKITAR ANTARABANGSA: HARI E-WASTE SIPITANG 2025 (eWA'25)

ONG SUM PING – Kementerian Pendidikan melalui Jabatan Sekolah-Sekolah pada hari ini telah menyelaras penyertaan seramai empat orang guru dan lapan orang pelajar dari Sekolah Rendah Kasat, Sekolah Rendah Kampong Menengah, Sekolah Rendah Lumut dan Sekolah Rendah Amar Pahlawan ke Pertandingan Ko-Akademik Sempena Program Kesedaran Alam Sekitar Antarabangsa: Hari E-Waste Sipitang 2025 (eWA'25) yang akan diadakan pada 17 hingga 18 Oktober 2025 di Pekan Sipitang, Sabah, Malaysia.

 

Hadir di Sekolah Tinggi Perempuan Raja Isteri untuk mengucapkan selamat bertolak bagi rombongan berkenaan ialah Yang Mulia Awang Md Danny bin Aimi, Pemangku Pegawai Tugas Tugas Khas Kanan (Korporat), Jabatan Sekolah-Sekolah, Kementerian Pendidikan.

 

Program selama dua hari ini merupakan aktiviti ko-akademik anjuran Sekolah Kebangsaan Pekan Sipitang, Sabah, dengan kerjasama Jabatan Alam Sekitar, Sabah. Sepanjang program berlangsung, para pelajar akan menyertai Pertandingan Upcycle Waste dan Peragaan Fesyen daripada Bahan Terbuang.

 

Penganjuran program ini bertujuan untuk menyediakan platform kepada orang ramai, jabatan kerajaan serta syarikat swasta dalam menyertai gerakan aktiviti berteraskan alam sekitar. Ia juga berperanan menarik minat generasi muda agar lebih inovatif dan kreatif dalam mendekati isu-isu alam sekitar, di samping memupuk semangat persaingan sihat melalui pelbagai aktiviti berbentuk pertandingan. Selain itu, program ini turut berhasrat meningkatkan kesedaran tentang kepentingan menjaga kesihatan alam sekitar serta langkah-langkah yang boleh diambil untuk memelihara bumi melalui amalan guna semula dan kitar semula.

 

Turut hadir semasa rombongan bertolak ialah pegawai-pegawai dari Jabatan Sekolah-Sekolah, Kementerian Pendidikan, serta ibu bapa dan ahli keluarga pelajar.
