7TH CELIK-BIZ COMPETITION AND 12TH BIGSTART COMPETITION CONVENTION FOR PRIMARY AND SECONDARY STUDENTS IN NATIONAL LEVEL & EIC SHOWCASE

LUGU – Ministry of Education through Entrepreneurship Innovation Centre (EIC) today held a convention for the 7th Celik-Biz Competition for primary schools nationwide and the 12th BigStart Competition for secondary students nationwide at Dewan Indah Biru, Kampong Lugu.
Present as the Guest of Honour for this event was Yang Mulia Awang Aliuddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Acting Permanent Secretary (Core Education), Ministry of Education Brunei Darussalam.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and a Doa Selamat led by Yang Mulia Mohd Danish Zharfan bin Abdullah Zulhisham, Year 10ALP Al-Imam Yaaqub student, Institut Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, followed by a welcoming speech by Yang Mulia Awang Adna Shatriremie bin Haji A. Abdul Rahman, Head of the Entrepreneurship Innovation Centre, Ministry of Education.
The ceremony was further enlivened by live pitching presentations from participants of both the Celik-Biz and BigStart Competitions. The programme continued with a video montage showcasing highlights of the competitions, followed by the presentation of prizes and certificates to the winners by the Guest of Honour.
The champion of the 7th Celik Biz Competition was won by team Safezone.bn from Sekolah Arab Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah with the product name Safezone.bn. The first runner-up was won by Projek Rataie team from Sekolah Rendah Rataie with the product kantinKu and second runner-up was won by Complex Creators team from Chung Hwa Middle School, Bandar Seri Begawan with the name of product Barunah.
The champion of the 12th BigStart Competition was won by i-Alhudur team from Sekolah Arab Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah with the product i-Attendance while the first runner-up was Yaya Tech Wizards team from Sekolah Menengah Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah with the product Antara Dua Alam and second runner-up was Nurflies team from Chung Hwa Middle School with product called Nurana.
Next, the Guest of Honour witnessed the EIC Showcase featuring the top 10 teams from the Celik-Biz Competition and the top 10 teams from the BigStart Competition.
These entrepreneurship and innovation education competitions also feature participation from schools under the Department of Private Education and the Department of Islamic Studies, as well as the Institut Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, Ministry of Religious Affairs, with this year marking the institute's first involvement in the competition.
The main objective of this competition is to nurture students' creativity and innovation through pragmatic, realistic, and entrepreneurial approaches in planning and developing projects aligned with this year's theme. In addition, the competition serves as a platform to equip students with essential life skills, encouraging them to become more independent, proactive, and competitive in line with the 21st Century Learning framework that emphasises the 6Cs: Collaboration, Critical Thinking, Character, Communication, Creativity, and Citizenship.
The theme for this year's Celik-Biz Competition is “Beyond the Classroom: Innovating for a Sustainable Future", featuring four categories: Innovation, Edutainment, Digitalisation Transformation, and Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR 4.0). Meanwhile, the theme for the BigStart Competition is “Smart Futures: Innovation in Entrepreneurship", comprising five (5) categories: Digital Transformation for Brunei's Future, Industrial Revolution 4.0 Technologies for Sustainable Development, Edutainment: Learning Through Play, Innovative Entrepreneurship for Social Impact, and Arts, Culture, and Heritage Innovation.
Also present during the convention were Head of Departments, senior officers, school leaders from schools under the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Religious Affairs, along with representatives from sponsors, stakeholders and external agencies.

LUGU – Kementerian Pendidikan melalui Pusat Keusahawanan Inovasi (EIC) pada hari ini telah mengadakan Majlis Konvensyen Pertandingan Celik-Biz Kali Ke-7 bagi pelajar-pelajar sekolah rendah seluruh negara dan Pertandingan BigStart Kali Ke-12 pelajar-pelajar bagi sekolah menengah dan maktab seluruh negara yang diadakan di Dewan Indah Biru, Kampong Lugu.
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat bagi majlis ini ialah Yang Mulia Awang Aliuddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Pemangku Setiausaha Tetap (Pendidikan Teras), Kementerian Pendidikan Negara Brunei Darussalam.

Majlis diserikan lagi dengan pertandingan Pitching secara langsung daripada para peserta Pertandingan Celik-Biz dan Pertandingan BigStart. Majlis diteruskan dengan tayangan video sepanjang pertandingan dijalankan, diikuti dengan penyampaian hadiah dan sijil-sijil kepada pemenang-pemenang pertandingan oleh Tetamu Kehormat.
Bagi Pertandingan Celik-Biz kali ke-7 tahun 2025, Juara dimenangi oleh Kumpulan Safezone.bn dari Sekolah Arab Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah dengan nama produk Safezone.bn. Tempat Kedua diraih oleh Kumpulan Projek Rataie dari Sekolah Rendah Rataie dengan nama produk KantinKu. Manakala Tempat Ketiga dimenangi oleh Kumpulan Complex Creators dari Chung Hwa Middle School, Bandar Seri Begawan dengan nama produk Barunah.
Bagi Pertandingan BigStart kali ke-12 tahun 2025, Juara disandang oleh Kumpulan i-Alhudur dari Sekolah Arab Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah dengan nama produk i-Attendance. Manakala kumpulan Yaya Tech Wizards dengan nama produk Antara Dua Alam dari Sekolah Menengah Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah telah berjaya meraih tempat kedua dan tempat ketiga disandang oleh Kumpulan Nurflies dari Chung Hwa Middle School, Bandar Seri Begawan dengan nama produk mereka Nurana.
Seterusnya, Tetamu Kehormat menyaksikan EIC Showcase daripada 10 pasukan teratas dari Pertandingan Celik-Biz dan 10 pasukan teratas dari Pertandingan BigStart.
Pertandingan pendidikan keusahawanan dan inovasi ini melibatkan penyertaan sekolah-sekolah di bawah Jabatan Pendidikan Swasta dan Jabatan Pengajian Islam, serta Institut Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (ITQSHHB), Kementerian Hal Ehwal Ugama dengan tahun ini menandakan penyertaan pertama bagi institusi berkenaan.
Objektif utama pertandingan ini adalah untuk menggalakkan para pelajar mengasah kreativiti dan daya inovasi melalui pendekatan yang pragmatik, realistik serta menanamkan elemen keusahawanan dalam merancang dan melaksanakan projek yang relevan dengan tema tahun ini. Di samping itu, pertandingan ini juga berperanan sebagai platform pembelajaran berasaskan kemahiran hidup, bagi melahirkan pelajar yang lebih berdikari, proaktif dan berdaya saing selaras dengan keperluan kemahiran abad ke-21 yang menekankan enam elemen utama 6C: Collaboration, Critical Thinking, Character, Communication, Creativity dan Citizenship.

Turut hadir ialah Ketua-Ketua Jabatan, Pegawai-Pegawai Kanan serta Pemimpin-Pemimpin Sekolah di bawah Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kementerian Hal Ehwal Ugama serta jemputan dari penaja-penaja, pihak berkepentingan dan agensi-agensi luar.
