FIRST DAY OF PROJECT PRESENTATIONS AND EVALUATION SESSION FOR THE SCHOOL INNOVATION AWARD (AIS)

Monday, 2 February 2026 – The Ministry of Education, through the Department of Schools and the Department of Schools Inspectorate, organised the First Day of Project Presentations and Evaluation Session for the School Innovation Award (AIS), held at Dewan Atria Simpur, Public Works Department, Ministry of Development.


A total of six schools presented their respective projects, comprising Maktab Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah; Sekolah Rendah Kasat, Sekolah Rendah Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja, Mentiri; Sekolah Rendah Tanjong Kindana; Pusat Tingkatan Enam Belait, and Sekolah Rendah Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien.

Among the main objectives of the School Innovation Award (AIS) is to foster a culture of innovation and creativity in schools through the implementation of high-impact projects, while providing formal recognition to schools that excel in educational innovation. The initiative also serves as a platform for healthy competition at the national level, producing outstanding projects with the potential to represent Brunei Darussalam internationally, and ensuring the continuity of the School Improvement Plan (SIP) through the development of more structured innovation projects.

Isnin, 2 Februari 2026 - Kementerian Pendidikan melalui Jabatan Sekolah-Sekolah dan Jabatan Kenaziran Sekolah-Sekolah telah mengadakan Hari Pertama Pembentangan Projek dan Sesi Penilaian bagi Anugerah Inovasi Sekolah (AIS) bertempat di Dewan Atria Simpur, Jabatan Kerja Raya, Kementerian Pembangunan.

Sebanyak 6 buah sekolah telah membentangkan projek masing-masing pada hari ini iaitu Maktab Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah, Sekolah Rendah Kasat; Sekolah Rendah Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja, Mentiri; Sekolah Rendah Tanjong Kindana; Pusat Tingkatan Enam Belait; dan Sekolah Rendah Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien.

Antara objektif utama AIS ialah menggalakkan budaya inovasi dan kreativiti di sekolah melalui pelaksanaan projek berimpak tinggi, di samping memberikan pengiktirafan rasmi kepada sekolah yang cemerlang dalam inovasi pendidikan. Ia juga menyediakan platform persaingan sihat di peringkat kebangsaan, melahirkan projek-projek unggul yang berpotensi mewakili Negara Brunei Darussalam di peringkat antarabangsa, serta memastikan kesinambungan pelaksanaan 'School Improvement Plan (SIP)' melalui pembangunan projek inovasi yang lebih berstruktur.
