CLOSING CEREMONY OF THE SPECIAL TRAINING PROGRAMME:
INSTRUCTOR DEVELOPMENT TRAINING
FOR ROYAL BRUNEI AIR FORCE (RBAF)

BERAKAS – The Ministry of Education, through the Teacher Unit of the Brunei Darussalam Leadership and Teacher Academy (BDLTA), Department of Educator Management, organised the Closing Ceremony of the Special Training Programme: Instructor Development Training Programme for the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAF), held at the Main Hall, Ministry of Education.
The training programme, which was conducted from 12 to 20 January 2026, involved a total of 20 participants, comprising 4 officers, thirteen 13 personnel, and 3 civilian staff members serving with the RBAF.
Present as the Guest of Honour to officiate the ceremony was Yang Mulia Dr. Shamsiah Zuraini Kanchanawati binti Haji Tajuddin, Permanent Secretary (Core Education), Ministry of Education.

Also in attendance was Yang Mulia Colonel (U) Pengiran Hasrul Ariffin bin Pengiran Haji Rosley, Acting Commander of the Royal Brunei Air Force.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and a Doa Selamat, followed by a welcoming address delivered by Yang Mulia Dr. Roslena binti Pehin Datu Indera Sugara Dato Seri Laila Jasa Haji Johari, Acting Assistant Director and Head of the Brunei Darussalam Leadership and Teacher Academy (BDLTA), Department of Educators Management, Ministry of Education.

The afternoon programme was further enlivened by a video presentation showcasing the journey of the programme as well as participants' reflections on the transformative skills and knowledge gained throughout the training. This was followed by the presentation of certificates to the 20 participants and 8 Lead Trainers/Facilitators, officiated by the Guest of Honour. The programme continued with a speech delivered by the participants' representative, Yang Mulia Puan 935 Captain (U) Nurul Jannah binti Abdullah.





The closing ceremony marked the conclusion of a strategic collaborative initiative designed to strengthen and modernise military teaching and training approaches through the adoption of 21st-century pedagogical practices.
The programme curriculum comprised 10 specialised modules, delivered by experts from BDLTA and the Department of Schools, Ministry of Education, to ensure a smooth transition from traditional teaching methods to modern learning facilitation approaches. The modules included:

The course was specifically designed to enhance the capability of RBAF instructors in planning, delivering and evaluating training sessions more effectively, systematically and with greater impact. Overall, the programme serves as a strategic platform in developing a core group of competent and credible RBAF instructors aligned with international best practices in education, while supporting the ongoing transformation of national defence training.
The ceremony was also attended by directors, senior officers from the Ministry of Education and senior leadership from the RBAF.

MAJLIS PENUTUP PROGRAM LATIHAN KHAS
INSTRUCTOR DEVELOPMENT TRAINING
BAGI TENTERA UDARA DIRAJA BRUNEI (TUDB)

BERAKAS – Kementerian Pendidikan, melalui Unit Tenaga Pengajar, Akademi Kepimpinan dan Guru Brunei Darussalam (BDLTA), Jabatan Pengurusan Pendidik, telah mengadakan Majlis Penutup Program Latihan Khas Instructor Development Training bagi Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) bertempat di Dewan Utama, Kementerian Pendidikan.
Program latihan yang berlangsung dari 12 hingga 20 Januari 2026 itu melibatkan seramai 20 orang peserta, terdiri daripada empat 4 orang pegawai, 13 orang anggota serta 3 orang kakitangan awam yang bertugas di TUDB.
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat bagi merasmikan majlis tersebut ialah Yang Mulia Dr. Shamsiah Zuraini Kanchanawati binti Haji Tajuddin, Setiausaha Tetap (Pendidikan Teras), Kementerian Pendidikan.
Turut hadir ialah Yang Mulia Kolonel (U) Pengiran Hasrul Ariffin bin Pengiran Haji Rosley, Pemangku Pemerintah Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaaan Surah Al-Fatihah dan Doa Selamat serta diteruskan dengan ucapan alu-aluan daripada Yang Mulia Dr. Roslena binti Pehin Datu Indera Sugara Dato Seri Laila Jasa Haji Johari, Pemangku Penolong Pengarah, Ketua Akademi Kepimpinan dan Guru Brunei Darussalam (BDLTA), Jabatan Pengurusan Pendidik, Kementerian Pendidikan.
Majlis pada petang ini turut diisikan dengan tayangan video yang memaparkan perjalanan program serta refleksi para peserta terhadap kemahiran dan pengetahuan transformasi yang diperoleh sepanjang latihan. Majlis diikuti dengan penyampaian sijil kepada 20 orang peserta serta 8 orang Jurulatih Utama/Fasilitator yang disempurnakan oleh Tetamu Kehormat Majlis. Seterusnya, majlis disusuli dengan ucapan daripada wakil peserta program, Yang Mulia Puan 935 Kapten (U) Nurul Jannah binti Abdullah.
Majlis berkenaan menandakan penutupan satu inisiatif kolaboratif strategik yang direka bentuk bagi memperkukuh dan memodenkan pendekatan pengajaran serta latihan ketenteraan melalui penerapan amalan pedagogi abad ke-21.
Program ini merangkumi 10 modul khusus, yang dikendalikan oleh pakar dari BDLTA dan Jabatan Sekolah-Sekolah, bagi memastikan peralihan yang lancar daripada pengajaran tradisional kepada kaedah fasilitasi moden. Modul-modul tersebut adalah:

Program berkenaan dirangka khusus bagi meningkatkan keupayaan instruktor TUDB dalam merancang, melaksanakan dan menilai sesi latihan secara lebih berkesan, sistematik dan berimpak melalui kurikulum yang merangkumi 10 modul khusus kendalian pakar daripada BDLTA dan Jabatan Sekolah-Sekolah, Kementerian Pendidikan. Secara keseluruhan, program ini berperanan sebagai platform strategik dalam membangunkan barisan teras instruktor TUDB yang kompeten, berwibawa dan selaras dengan amalan terbaik pendidikan antarabangsa, sekali gus menyokong usaha transformasi latihan pertahanan negara secara berterusan.
Majlis tersebut juga dihadiri oleh pengarah-pengarah, pegawai-pegawai dari Kementerian Pendidikan serta kepimpinan kanan daripada TUDB.
