THE LAUNCHING CEREMONY OF THE 11TH HIGHER EDUCATION EXPO 2026

JERUDONG – The Ministry of Education, through the Department of Higher Education, in collaboration with the Department of Scholarship Management and the Secretariat of Brunei Darussalam National Accreditation Council (MKPK) today held the Launching Ceremony of the 11th Higher Education Expo 2025 at Hall 2, BRIDEX, Jerudong.
The 11th Higher Education Expo 2026 is organised with the following objectives:
1. Providing a One-Stop Higher Education Information Centre: To provide a comprehensive one-stop information centre that brings together post-secondary institutions, public and private higher education institutions, as well as education sector agencies from within and outside the country, to share information on the various academic prospects available locally and internationally.
2. Face-to-Face Interaction for Accurate Information: To provide opportunities for the public, particularly students, to engage directly with representatives of educational institutions and agencies. This initiative facilitates access to guidance and detailed information required for effective academic future planning.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Dr Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md Salleh, Minister of Education.
The event commenced with an official opening ceremony officiated by Yang Berhormat Minister of Education. The Guest of Honour then proceeded to visit the exhibition booths, which comprised government agencies of Brunei Darussalam, local and international higher education institutions, and embassies and related agencies.
The Higher Education Expo will be held over two days, from Saturday, 7 February 2026 to Sunday, 8 February 2026, at Halls 1 and 2, BRIDEX, Jerudong. The expo will be open to the public on Saturday, 7 February 2026 from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m., while on Sunday, 8 February 2026, it will be open from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
This year's expo will also feature briefing sessions over the two days, designed to provide students with exposure to and information on higher education and future career options.
The expo is open to the public, particularly secondary school leavers (Brunei–Cambridge GCE 'O' Level) and pre-university students (Brunei–Cambridge GCE 'A' Level), or those with equivalent qualifications who intend to pursue higher levels of study, including individuals seeking to enhance their skills through upskilling and reskilling initiatives. Participating institutions will also share information on programmes such as the National Technical Education Certificate (NTec), Higher National Technical Education Certificate (HNTec), Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, and Doctoral Degree programmes.

More than 60 exhibitors will participate in this year's Higher Education Expo. The line-up includes 8 local public higher education institutions and 8 local private institutions, 26 international agencies and institutions, 2 embassies, as well as 10 government agencies and 15 private sector agencies.
During the Higher Education Expo, the Ministry of Education will also share latest information such as the Higher Education Centralized Admission System (HECAS), Government Scholarships, applications for the accreditation of courses or qualifications. Among the departments under the Ministry of Education participating in the expo are the Department of Higher Education, Department of Scholarship Management, Department of Educators Management, the Lifelong Learning Centre (L3C), the Entrepreneurship Innovation Centre (EIC), the Secretariat of the National Accreditation Council (MKPK), and the Career Education Unit from the Department of Schools.

MAJLIS PELANCARAN EKSPO PENGAJIAN TINGGI KALI KE-11 TAHUN 2026

JERUDONG – Kementerian Pendidikan melalui Jabatan Pengajian Tinggi dengan kerjasama Jabatan Pengurusan Biasiswa dan Majlis Kebangsaan Pengiktirafan Kelulusan (MKPK) pada hari ini telah mengadakan Majlis Pelancaran Ekspo Pengajian Tinggi kali ke-11 Tahun 2026, BRIDEX, Jerudong.
Ekspo Pengajian Tinggi kali ke-11 Tahun 2026 diungkayahkan dengan tujuan untuk:
Menyediakan Pusat Maklumat Sehenti (One-Stop Information Centre) Pengajian Tinggi: Untuk menyediakan sebuah pusat maklumat sehenti yang komprehensif yang menghimpunkan institusi pengajian pasca menengah, institusi pengajian tinggi awam dan swasta serta agensi sektor pendidikan dari dalam dan luar negara bagi berkongsi maklumat mengenai pelbagai prospek akademik yang tersedia di dalam negara dan di luar negara.
Interaksi Bersemuka bagi Mendapatkan Maklumat Tepat: Untuk memberikan peluang kepada orang ramai, khususnya para pelajar, untuk bersemuka dengan wakil institusi dan agensi pendidikan. Inisiatif ini memudahkan pelajar mendapatkan bimbingan serta maklumat terperinci yang diperlukan bagi merancang masa depan akademik mereka.
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat untuk melancarkan Ekspo tersebut ialah Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Dr Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md Salleh, Menteri Pendidikan.
Majlis dimulakan dengan upacara pelancaran yang disempurnakan oleh Yang Berhormat Menteri Pendidikan. Tetamu Kehormat seterusnya mengunjungi petak-petak pameran yang terdiri daripada agensi-agensi Kerajaan Negara Brunei Darussalam, institusi-institusi pengajian tinggi tempatan dan luar negara serta kedutaan-kedutaan dan agensi-agensi yang berkaitan.
Ekspo Pengajian Tinggi akan diadakan selama dua hari bermula pada hari Sabtu, 7 Februari 2026 hingga hari Ahad, 8 Februari 2026 bertempat di Dewan 1 dan 2, BRIDEX, Jerudong. Ekspo akan dibuka kepada orang ramai pada hari Sabtu, 7 Februari 2026 dari jam 10.00 pagi hingga 5.00 petang, manakala pada hari Ahad, 8 Februari 2026 ekspo akan bermula pada jam 9.00 pagi hingga 5.00 petang.
Pada tahun ini, ekspo juga akan diisikan dengan sesi-sesi taklimat sepanjang dua hari tersebut, yang dirangka untuk memberikan para pelajar pendedahan serta maklumat mengenai pendidikan tinggi dan pilihan kerjaya pada masa hadapan.
Ekspo ini dibukakan kepada orang awam, khususnya pelajar lepasan menengah (lepasan Brunei-Cambridge GCE 'O' Level) dan pra-universiti (Brunei-Cambridge GCE 'A' Level) atau yang berkelulusan sebanding yang berhasrat untuk meneruskan pengajian ke peringkat lebih tinggi termasuk mereka yang ingin mengembangkan kemahiran secara 'upskilling' dan 'reskilling'. Institusi-institusi yang terlibat juga akan mengongsikan program-program seperti National Technical Education Certificate (NTec); Higher National Technical Education Certificate (HNTec); Diploma; Ijazah Sarjana Muda; Ijazah Sarjana dan program Ijazah Kedoktoran.

Ekspo Pengajian Tinggi kali ini akan disertai oleh lebih 60 pempamer. Penyertaan tersebut merangkumi 8 institusi pengajian tinggi awam dan 8 institusi pengajian tinggi swasta tempatan, 26 agensi dan institusi dari luar negara, serta 2 wakil kedutaan. Selain itu, ekspo ini turut disertai oleh 10 agensi kerajaan dan 15 agensi swasta yang berkaitan.
Semasa Ekspo Pengajian Tinggi berlangsung, Kementerian Pendidikan juga akan memberigakan maklumat-maklumat terkini seperti Sistem Pusat Kemasukan ke Pengajian Tinggi atau Higher Education Centralized Admission System (HECAS), Biasiswa-Biasiswa Kerajaan, dan permohonan bagi mendapatkan pengiktirafan kursus atau kelulusan. Antara jabatan-jabatan di bawah kawalan Kementerian Pendidikan yang turut serta menyertai ekspo tersebut adalah Jabatan Pengajian Tinggi, Jabatan Pengurusan Biasiswa, Jabatan Pengurusan Pendidik, Pusat Pembelajaran Sepanjang Hayat (L3C), Pusat Inovasi Keusahawanan (EIC), Urus Setia Majlis Kebangsaan Pengiktirafan Kelulusan (MKPK) dan Unit Pendidikan Kerjaya dari Jabatan Sekolah-Sekolah.
