BRUNEI DARUSSALAM DIGITAL LITERACY STANDARDS (BDDLS) SOCIALISATION SESSION
FOR HEADS OF DEPARTMENTS AND SCHOOL LEADERS

BERAKAS – The Ministry of Education, through the Curriculum Development Department in collaboration with the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER), today held the Brunei Darussalam Digital Literacy Standards (BDDLS) Socialisation Session at Mawaddah Hall, Setia Point.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Yang Mulia Awang Aliuddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Acting Permanent Secretary (Core Education), Ministry of Education.

The session began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by a welcoming address by Yang Mulia Awang Ali Hamdani bin Haji Muhamad Diah, Director of Curriculum Development Department. The session was followed by a presentation entitled "Curricula Reform and its Impact on School and System Leaders", delivered by Yang Mulia Lisa Rodgers, Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER).


The session continued with a workshop entitled "Leading Implementation of Digital Literacy and AI Literacy Across Schools", facilitated by Yang Mulia Andrew Mannion, International Tech Lead and Yang Mulia Dr. Wagheeh Shukry Hassan, Regional Tech Lead.


The session concluded with a summary and way forward delivered by Yang Mulia Dr. Mohamad Khairul bin Haji Matusin, Acting Assistant Director, Curriculum Development Department, Ministry of Education.
The session aimed to introduce the content of the new standards and curriculum, together with the proposed implementation strategies, to support the readiness of school leaders for the forthcoming implementation of BDDLS.
Also in attendance were Heads of Departments, as well as school leaders from the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

The BDDLS Orientation Session will be held on Tuesday, 30 June 2026, and will be attended by Business, Art & Technology (BAT) and ICT teachers from primary and secondary schools under the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

BAGI KETUA-KETUA JABATAN DAN PEMIMPIN-PEMIMPIN SEKOLAH

BERAKAS – Kementerian Pendidikan melalui Jabatan Perkembangan Kurikulum dengan kerjasama Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER), hari ini telah mengadakan Sesi Sosialisasi Brunei Darussalam Digital Literacy Standards (BDDLS) di Dewan Mawaddah, Setia Point.
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat bagi sesi sosialisasi berkenaan ialah Yang Mulia Awang Aliuddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Pemangku Setiausaha Tetap (Pendidikan Teras), Kementerian Pendidikan.
Sesi dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah, diikuti dengan ucapan alu-aluan oleh Yang Mulia Awang Ali Hamdani bin Haji Muhamad Diah, Pengarah Jabatan Perkembangan Kurikulum. Seterusnya, sesi diteruskan dengan pembentangan yang bertajuk “Curricula Reform and its Impact to School and System Leaders" yang disampaikan oleh Yang Mulia Lisa Rodgers, Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif, Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER).
Sesi kemudian disusuli dengan bengkel bertajuk “Leading Implementation of Digital Literacy and AI Literacy Across Schools" yang dikendalikan oleh Yang Mulia Andrew Mannion, International Tech Lead dan Yang Mulia Dr. Wagheeh Shukry Hassan, Regional Tech Lead.
Sesi berkenaan diakhiri dengan penyampaian rumusan serta hala tuju oleh Yang Mulia Dr. Mohamad Khairul bin Haji Matusin, Pemangku Penolong Pengarah, Jabatan Perkembangan Kurikulum, Kementerian Pendidikan.
Sesi sosialisasi ini bertujuan untuk memberigakan kandungan piawaian dan kurikulum baharu serta strategi pelaksanaannya bagi menyokong kesiapsiagaan para pemimpin sekolah dalam pelaksanaan BDDLS nanti.
Turut hadir ialah Ketua-Ketua Jabatan serta Pemimpin-Pemimpin Sekolah dari Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kementerian Hal Ehwal Ugama.
Sesi orientasi BDDLS akan diadakan pada hari Selasa, 30 Jun 2026, dan akan dihadiri oleh guru-guru mata pelajaran Business, Art & Technology (BAT) serta ICT bagi peringkat rendah dan menengah dari sekolah-sekolah di bawah Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kementerian Hal Ehwal Ugama.
