Thursday, 25 June 2026 - The Ministry of Education through the Department of Scholarship Management today held the closing ceremony for the Jati Diri 'Itqan' Programme at Lecture Theatre, Mutiara Exchange.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Yang Mulia Dayang Rosimah Sumaimah binti Haji Matassim, Acting Director of Scholarship Management, Ministry of Education.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and a welcoming speech by the Guest of Honour. This was followed by a presentation of certificate of participation to Jati Diri 'Itqan' Programme.
The 4-days course was attended by 34 Universiti Brunei Darussalam Twinning Programme students who will be undertaking Medical and Dental courses abroad under His Majesty The Sultan of Brunei Darussalam Government Overseas Scholarship Scheme 2026/2027 academic session.
Throughout the Jati Diri ‘Itqan’ Programme, students participated in various briefings, activities, and knowledge-sharing sessions, as well as updates on the latest information, to prepare them for pursuing their studies overseas.

Among the objectives of the programme are to provide information on the Government Overseas Scholarship Rules and Regulations to recipients of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam Government Scholarships under the Ministry of Education, to share information on scholarship policies and contracts and the philosophy of Melayu Islam Beraja (MIB), to enhance self-motivation, to develop character and personality and to instil a strong sense of responsibility while studying abroad.

Khamis, 25 Jun 2026 – Kementerian Pendidikan melalui Jabatan Pengurusan Biasiswa pada hari ini telah mengadakan Majlis Penutup Program Jati Diri ‘Itqan’ di Teater Kuliah, Mutiara Exchange.
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat ialah Yang Mulia Dayang Rosimah Sumaimah binti Haji Matassim, Pemangku Pengarah Pengurusan Biasiswa, Kementerian Pendidikan.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah dan disusuli dengan ucapan alu-aluan daripada Tetamu Kehormat. Majlis diikuti dengan penyampaian sijil penyertaan Program Jati Diri 'Itqan'.
Program 4 hari ini disertai oleh 34 orang pelajar Program Twinning di Universiti Brunei Darussalam yang akan mengikuti Kursus Perubatan dan Pergigian ke luar negeri di bawah Skim Biasiswa Kerajaan Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan dan Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam sesi 2026/2027.
Sepanjang Program Jati Diri ‘Itqan’ ini, para pelajar mengikuti pelbagai taklimat, aktiviti serta sesi perkongsian ilmu dan maklumat terkini sebagai persediaan bagi melanjutkan pengajian di luar negeri.
Antara objektif program ini dilaksanakan adalah untuk memberigakan Aturan dan Peraturan Biasiswa Kerajaan ke Luar Negeri kepada pelajar-pelajar Biasiswa Kerajaan Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia di bawah Kementerian Pendidikan, berkongsi maklumat mengenai Dasar Biasiswa, Ikatjanji dan Penghayatan Melayu Islam Beraja (MIB), meningkatkan motivasi diri, membina sahsiah dan keperibadiaan serta mempunyai sikap bertanggungjawab semasa berada di luar negeri.
