SOCIALISATION AND TRAINING SESSIONS ON
THE DATA COLLECTION PLATFORM (DCP) FOR SCHOOL LEADERS

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN – The Ministry of Education through the Department of Planning, Development and Research (DPDR), held two Socialisation and Training Sessions on the Data Collection Platform (DCP) for School Leaders on 27 and 30 June 2026.
The sessions involved school leaders from Clusters 1 to 6. The first session was held at Lecture Theatre 2, Sekolah Tinggi Perempuan Raja Isteri (STPRI), while the second session took place at Lecture Theatre Perseverance, Pusat Tingkatan Enam Tutong (PTET).
The first session commenced with a welcoming address delivered by Yang Mulia Awang Haji Mohammad Ishak bin Haji Ahmad, Acting Assistant Director of the Department of Planning, Development and Research and Chairperson of the Data Collection Platform (DCP) Technical Committee. Meanwhile, the welcoming address for the second session was delivered by Yang Mulia Dayang Zuriana binti Mohd Said, Co-Technical Lead.
The sessions were organised as part of the Ministry of Education's ongoing efforts to strengthen education data management, and to support data-driven planning, monitoring, and decision-making across all levels of the education system.
The DCP is a centralised platform developed through close collaboration between DPDR and the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT), in particular the DevOps Section. The platform aims to strengthen the management of schools', teachers', and students' information in a more systematic, efficient, and integrated manner.
Throughout the sessions, school leaders were provided with a comprehensive overview of the DCP, including its objectives, key functions, and implementation approach. The sessions also outlined the roles and responsibilities of school leaders in supporting the effective adoption of the platform within their respective schools complemented by briefings and live demonstrations conducted by members of the DCP Technical Committee.
These demonstrations provided school leaders with direct exposure to the platform's core functions, user workflows, data management processes, and implementation approach for use in government schools in the early stages.
The Briefing and Training for School Data Coordinators (SDCs) is scheduled for July 2026. Through this phased implementation approach, the Ministry of Education remains committed to ensuring that the DCP is rolled out in a structured, effective and sustainable manner.
This initiative reflects the Ministry of Education's continuous commitment to empowering digital transformation and strengthening education data governance towards delivering more efficient, responsive and impactful education services.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN – Kementerian Pendidikan melalui Jabatan Perancangan, Perkembangan dan Penyelidikan (JPPP) telah mengadakan dua Sesi Sosialisasi dan Latihan Data Collection Platform (DCP) Bagi Pemimpin-Pemimpin Sekolah pada 27 dan 30 Jun 2026.
Sesi-sesi tersebut melibatkan pemimpin-pemimpin sekolah daripada Kluster 1 hingga Kluster 6. Sesi pertama telah diadakan di Lecture Theatre 2, Sekolah Tinggi Perempuan Raja Isteri (STPRI), manakala sesi kedua berlangsung di Lecture Theatre Perserverance, Pusat Tingkatan Enam Tutong (PTET).
Sesi pertama dimulakan dengan ucapan alu-aluan yang telah disampaikan oleh Yang Mulia Awang Haji Mohammad Ishak bin Haji Ahmad, Pemangku Penolong Pengarah Jabatan Perancangan, Perkembangan dan Penyelidikan selaku Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Teknikal Data Collection Platform (DCP). Manakala ucapan alu-aluan bagi sesi kedua pula disampaikan oleh Yang Mulia Dayang Zuriana binti Mohd Said selaku Pengurus Teknikal Bersama.
Taklimat tersebut diadakan sebagai sebahagian daripada usaha berterusan Kementerian Pendidikan dalam memperkukuh pengurusan data pendidikan serta menyokong perancangan, pemantauan dan pembuatan keputusan berasaskan data di semua peringkat pendidikan.
DCP merupakan sebuah platform berpusat yang dibangunkan hasil kerjasama erat antara Jabatan Perancangan, Perkembangan dan Penyelidikan (JPPP) dan Jabatan Teknologi Maklumat dan Komunikasi (JTMK), khususnya Bahagian DevOps. Platform ini bertujuan bagi memperkukuh pengurusan maklumat sekolah, tenaga pengajar dan pelajar secara lebih sistematik, cekap dan bersepadu.
Sepanjang sesi berlangsung, para pemimpin sekolah telah diberikan penerangan menyeluruh mengenai DCP, meliputi objektif, fungsi utama serta pendekatan pelaksanaannya. Sesi tersebut turut menjelaskan peranan dan tanggungjawab pemimpin sekolah dalam menyokong pelaksanaan platform tersebut secara berkesan di sekolah masing-masing, di samping disusuli dengan sesi taklimat dan demonstrasi secara langsung yang dikendalikan oleh ahli-ahli Jawatankuasa Teknikal DCP.
Demonstrasi tersebut memberikan para pemimpin sekolah pendedahan secara langsung terhadap fungsi utama platform, aliran kerja pengguna, proses pengurusan data serta pendekatan pelaksanaannya untuk digunakan di sekolah-sekolah kerajaan bagi fasa pertama.
Sesi Taklimat dan Latihan bagi Penyelaras Data Sekolah (School Data Coordinators, SDCs) dijadualkan untuk diadakan pada bulan Julai 2026. Melalui pendekatan secara berfasa ini, Kementerian Pendidikan terus komited bagi memastikan DCP dapat dilaksanakan secara terancang, berkesan dan mampan.
Inisiatif ini mencerminkan komitmen berterusan Kementerian Pendidikan dalam memperkasa transformasi digital serta memperkukuh tadbir urus data pendidikan ke arah penyampaian perkhidmatan pendidikan yang lebih cekap, responsif dan berimpak tinggi.
