PARTICIPATION OF THE BRUNEI DARUSSALAM SPORTS SCHOOL CONTINGENT

IN THE 27^TH THAILAND SPORTS SCHOOL GAMES (NAKHONSEEKHWAE GAMES)

AT NAKHON SAWAN SPORTS SCHOOL, NAKHON SAWAN PROVINCE, THAILAND

BERAKAS – The Ministry of Education, through the Department of Schools, has coordinated the participation of the Brunei Darussalam contingent, comprising four members from the Sports School, in the 27^th Thailand Sports School Games (Nakhonseekhwae Games), which will be held at the Nakhon Sawan Sports School in Nakhon Sawan Province, Thailand, from 15 to 24 July 2026.

Present at the Brunei International Airport to bid farewell to the national contingent was Yang Mulia Awang Mohammad Danny bin Aimi, Acting Senior Special Duties Officer (Corporate), Department of Schools, Brunei Darussalam.

For the tournament, the Brunei Darussalam contingent will participate in the pencak silat event, represented by three student-athletes, namely Awang Muhd Ra'id Naim bin Muhd Syamsuddin, Awang Muhammad Asyraf Syafiee bin Norazrin and Dayang Nur Hidayatul Najwa binti Asrizal, under the guidance of Sports School Brunei Darussalam coach, Awang Muhammad Ali Rashid bin Haji Mohd Alipah.

Among the objectives of this participation is to provide a platform for the athletes to gain valuable experience and gauge their capabilities by competing against top sports schools from Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia. The Sports School last participated in the Thailand Sports School Games in 2025.

Also present at the Brunei International Airport was Yang Mulia Awang Alexandar bin Bandang, Principal of the Sports School; senior officials from the Department of Schools, Ministry of Education; the Sports School administration; as well as parents and family members of the contingent.

PENYERTAAN KONTINJEN SEKOLAH SUKAN NEGARA BRUNEI DARUSSALAM

DI NAKHON SAWAN SPORTS SCHOOL, WILAYAH NAKHON SAWAN THAILAND

BERAKAS – Kementerian Pendidikan melalui Jabatan Sekolah-Sekolah telah menyelaras penyertaan kontinjen Negara Brunei Darussalam yang terdiri daripada empat orang ahli dari Sekolah Sukan dalam The 27^th Thailand Sports School Games (Nakhonseekhwae Games) di Nakhon Sawan Sports School, Wilayah Nakhon Sawan Thailand yang bermula dari 15 hingga 24 Julai 2026.

Hadir di Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Brunei untuk mengucapkan selamat belayar kepada kontinjen negara ialah Yang Mulia Awang Mohammad Danny bin Aimi, Pemangku Pegawai Tugas-Tugas Khas Kanan (Korporat), Jabatan Sekolah-Sekolah, Kementerian Pendidikan.

Bagi kejohanan tersebut, kontinjen Negara Brunei Darussalam menyertai acara pencak silat yang diwakili oleh tiga orang pelajar-atlet iaitu Awang Muhd Ra'id Naim bin Muhd Syamsuddin, Awang Muhammad Asyraf Syafiee bin Norazrin dan Dayang Nur Hidayatul Najwa binti Asrizal, di bawah bimbingan jurulatih sekolah berkenaan, Awang Muhammad Ali Rashid bin Haji Mohd Alipah.

Antara tujuan penyertaan tersebut adalah sebagai satu landasan untuk para atlet menimba pengalaman serta mengukur kemampuan dengan bersaing bersama sekolah-sekolah sukan terbaik dari Thailand, Malaysia, Singapura, dan Indonesia. Kali terakhir Sekolah Sukan menyertai Kejohanan Sukan Sekolah Sukan Thailand ini adalah pada tahun 2025.

Turut hadir di Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Brunei ialah Yang Mulia Awang Alexandar bin Bandang, Pengetua Sekolah Sukan Negara Brunei Darussalam; pegawai-pegawai kanan dari Jabatan Sekolah-Sekolah; Kementerian Pendidikan; pihak Pentadbiran Sekolah Sukan serta ibu bapa dan ahli keluarga kontinjen.
