BRUNEI DARUSSALAM AND THE REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE

SCHOOL TWINNING PROGRAMME

BERAKAS - The Ministry of Education, Brunei Darussalam through the Department of Schools coordinated an educational visit from Sekolah Rendah Amar Pahlawan to Yangzheng Primary School, Republic Singapore. The five-day visit, held from 2 to 6 August 2026, is part of the School Twinning Programme between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore.

Present at the Brunei International Airport to bid farewell to the delegation was Yang Mulia Awang Mohammad Danny bin Aimi, Acting Senior Special Duties Officer (Corporate), Department of Schools, Ministry of Education.

Brunei Darussalam is represented by a delegation of 15 participants from Sekolah Rendah Amar Pahlawan, comprising 12 students from Year 4 and Year 5, accompanied by three teachers.

The programme aims to strengthen bilateral relations between schools from Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore through the exchange of best practices in academics, pedagogy and holistic student development. The organised activities include joint classroom learning sessions, student leadership initiatives, and hands-on experiences involving a variety of learning approaches. Additionally, the delegation will participate in educational visits to cultural and sustainability-themed landmarks, as well as take part in cultural exchange activities involving both schools.

Through this participation, the students are expected to gain exposure to international education systems while fostering the spirit of friendship, unity, and universal values that transcend national borders. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to showcase the identity and cultural heritage of Brunei Darussalam through performances and meaningful interactions with their Singaporean peers.

Also present were senior officers from the Department of Schools, Ministry of Education, the administration of Sekolah Rendah Amar Pahlawan, as well as parents and family members of the students.

BERAKAS - Kementerian Pendidikan, Negara Brunei Darussalam melalui Jabatan Sekolah-Sekolah telah menyelaras lawatan sambil belajar delegasi Sekolah Rendah Amar Pahlawan ke Yangzheng Primary School, Singapura. Lawatan selama lima hari, yang bermula dari 2 hingga 6 Ogos 2026 merupakan daripada Program Sekolah Berkembar antara Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Republik Singapura.

Hadir di Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Brunei untuk mengucapkan selamat belayar kepada para delegasi ialah Yang Mulia Awang Mohammad Danny bin Aimi, Pemangku Pegawai Tugas-Tugas Khas Kanan (Korporat), Jabatan Sekolah-Sekolah, Kementerian Pendidikan.

Delegasi Negara Brunei Darussalam kali ini diwakili oleh 15 orang peserta dari Sekolah Rendah Amar Pahlawan, iaitu 12 pelajar dari Tahun 4 dan Tahun 5 serta tiga orang guru pengiring.

Program ini bertujuan untuk memperkukuh hubungan dua hala antara sekolah-sekolah di Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Republik Singapura menerusi perkongsian amalan terbaik dalam bidang akademik, pedagogi serta pembangunan pelajar secara holistik. Antara pengisian utama yang dirancang termasuklah sesi pembelajaran bersama di bilik darjah, program kepimpinan pelajar, pendedahan amali melalui pelbagai pendekatan pembelajaran, lawatan ke tapak-tapak bersejarah dan lestari, serta aktiviti pertukaran budaya.

Melalui penyertaan ini, para pelajar diharap akan mendapat pendedahan terhadap sistem pendidikan antarabangsa, di samping memperkukuh semangat persahabatan serta nilai-nilai sejagat yang merentasi sempadan negara. Selain itu, para peserta juga berpeluang unutk mengetengahkan identiti dan warisan kebudayaan Negara Brunei Darussalam melalui persembahan serta interaksi bersama pelajar Singapura.

Turut hadir ialah pegawai-pegawai kanan dari Jabatan Sekolah-Sekolah, Kementerian Pendidikan, Pentadbiran Sekolah Rendah Amar Pahlawan serta ibu bapa dan ahli keluarga pelajar.
