BRUNEI DARUSSALAM AND THE REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE
SCHOOL TWINNING PROGRAMME

BERAKAS – The Ministry of Education today coordinated the visit of a delegation consisting of 12 Year 5 students and 3 teachers from Sekolah Rendah Beribi Telanai (SRBT) to Jurong Primary School (JPS), Republic of Singapore. The 5-day visit is part of the Brunei Darussalam and Republic of Singapore School Twinning Programme, which takes place from 4 August to 8 August 2024.
Present at the Brunei International Airport to bid farewell was Yang Mulia Dayang Hajah Marina Chek binti Bujang, Director of Schools, Department of Schools, Ministry of Education.
The School Twinning Programme between SRBT and JPS has been conducted since 2018, aimed at fostering a collaborative and multicultural learning environment. In addition, this programme also focuses on socio-cultural exchange as well as strengthening the existing relationship and cooperation established between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore.
During the visit, the students will have the opportunity to closely observe the implementation of the education system at the school, as well as gain knowledge and experience by participating in learning sessions and co-curricular activities with fellow students from JPS. In addition, the students will also have the opportunity to participate in the preparations for and celebration of the National Day of the Republic of Singapore with JPS, as well as visit interesting and historical places in Singapore to learn about the history and culture of the country. Brunei Darussalam's participation in this programme has been coordinated by the Department of Schools, Ministry of Education.
Also present at the Brunei International Airport were SRBT's Headmistress, officials from the Department of Schools, Ministry of Education as well as the parents and family members of the students.

PROGRAM SEKOLAH BERKEMBAR
NEGARA BRUNEI DARUSSALAM DAN REPUBLIK SINGAPURA

BERAKAS – Kementerian Pendidikan pada hari ini telah menyelaras lawatan satu delegasi yang terdiri daripada 12 orang pelajar Tahun 5 dan 3 orang guru Sekolah Rendah Beribi Telanai (SRBT) ke Jurong Primary School (JPS), Republik Singapura. Lawatan selama 5 hari tersebut adalah di bawah Program Sekolah Berkembar Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Republik Singapura yang bermula pada 4 Ogos hingga 8 Ogos 2024.
Hadir di Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Brunei bagi mengucapkan selamat belayar ialah Yang Mulia Dayang Hajah Marina Chek binti Bujang, Pengarah Sekolah-Sekolah, Jabatan Sekolah-Sekolah, Kementerian Pendidikan.
Program Sekolah Berkembar antara SRBT dan JPS ini telah dilaksanakan sejak tahun 2018, yang bertujuan untuk memupuk sifat bekerjasama dalam pembelajaran dan mengenali budaya masing-masing. Selain itu, program ini juga memfokuskan kepada pertukaran sosio-budaya serta mengukuhkan hubungan erat dan kerjasama yang sedia terjalin antara Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Republik Singapura.
Semasa lawatan itu nanti, para pelajar akan berpeluang untuk menyaksikan secara lebih dekat pelaksanaan sistem pendidikan di sekolah tersebut, selain berpeluang untuk menimba ilmu pengetahuan serta pengalaman dengan mengikuti sesi pembelajaran serta aktiviti kokurikulum bersama rakan-rakan pelajar dari JPS. Di samping itu, para pelajar juga akan berkesempatan menyertai persiapan dan acara Sambutan Hari Kebangsaan Republik Singapura bersama JPS serta melawat ke tempat-tempat menarik dan bersejarah di Singapura bagi mempelajari sejarah dan kebudayaan negara berkenaan. Penyertaan Negara Brunei Darussalam bagi program ini telah diselaras oleh Jabatan Sekolah-Sekolah, Kementerian Pendidikan.
Turut hadir di Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Brunei ialah Guru Besar SRBT, pegawai-pegawai dari Jabatan Sekolah-Sekolah Kementerian Pendidikan, serta para ibu bapa dan ahli keluarga pelajar.
