THE SOUTHEAST ASIA PLUS SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS YOUTH CAMP 2024

BERAKAS – The Ministry of Education through the Department of Schools has coordinated the participation of four students and one accompanying officer for the Southeast Asia Plus Sustainable Development Goals Youth Camp, which is held in Thailand from 29 January until 1 February 2024.
Representing Negara Brunei Darussalam are four Year 10 students from Sekolah Menengah Berakas namely Awang Danial Batrish Moksin bin Abdullah, Awang Ruza Aidil Fikri bin Muhd Ruben, Dayang Nadhirah binti Ariffin and Dayang Alma Lutfiah binti Hj Md Nazri Al-Amin. Accompanying the delegates is Cikgu Maralina binti Hj Awg Matnoor, Education Officer from Sekolah Menengah Berakas as the accompanying officer.
During the programme, the participants will have the opportunity to participate in activities related to the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Students will collaborate with participants from SEAMEO countries in solving problems using design thinking within the framework of SEP and SDGs.
Among others, the programme also aims to cultivate a sense of inspiration and a call to action towards sustainable development among the youth and teachers, and it is hoped that the students will be able to gain valuable networking opportunities, as well as, useful connections and collaborations.

BERAKAS – Kementerian Pendidikan melalui Jabatan Sekolah-Sekolah telah menyelaras penyertaan empat orang pelajar dan seorang pegawai pengiring ke The Southeast Asia Plus Sustainable Development Goals Youth Camp 2024 yang akan diadakan di Wilayah Nakhon Ratchasima Thailand pada 29 Januari hingga 1 Februari 2024.
Pelajar yang mewakili Negara Brunei Darussalam adalah terdiri dari pelajar Tahun 10 dari Sekolah Menengah Berakas iaitu Awang Danial Batrish Moksin bin Abdullah, Awang Ruza Aidil Fikri bin Muhd Ruben, Dayang Nadhirah binti Ariffin dan Dayang Alma Lutfiah binti Hj Md Nazri Al-Amin. Para delegasi juga disertai oleh Dayang Maralina binti Hj Awg Matnoor, Pegawai Pendidikan dari Sekolah Menengah Berakas selaku pegawai pengiring.
Semasa program itu, para peserta akan berpeluang menyertai aktiviti berkaitan Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP) dan Matlamat Pembangunan Mampan (Sustainable Development Goals, SDG). Para peserta juga akan bekerjasama dengan pelajar dari negara SEAMEO dalam menyelesaikan masalah menggunakan pemikiran reka bentuk dalam rangka kerja SEP dan SDG.
Antara lain, program ini juga bertujuan untuk memupuk semangat inspirasi dan seruan untuk bertindak ke arah pembangunan lestari di kalangan belia dan guru, dan diharapkan para pelajar akan dapat memperoleh peluang rangkaian yang berharga, serta hubungan yang berguna dan kerjasama.
