FINAL STAGE OF THE MULTIPLICATION GENIUS COMPETITION, 2024

KG. KATOK  – The Ministry of Education through the Programme and Academic Division, Department of Schools, today held the Final Stage of The Multiplication Genius Competition, 2024 at Auditorium 1,  Sekolah Ugama Arab Menengah Perempuan Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha.

Present as Guest of Honour was Yang Mulia Dr Hajah Sallimah binti Haji Mohammad Salleh, Director of Planning, Development and Research, Ministry of Education.

A total of 24 Year 3 students from 6 government primary schools representing 6 clusters competed in the final stage. The schools that made it to the final stage were Sekolah Rendah Junjongan from Cluster 1, Sekolah Rendah Haji Mohd Salleh, Sungai Hanching from Cluster 2, Sekolah Rendah Rimba III from Cluster 3, Sekolah Rendah Sengkurong from Cluster 4, Sekolah Rendah Perpindahan Kampung Bukit Beruang II from Cluster 5 and Sekolah Rendah Pengiran Setia Negara Pengiran Mohd Yusof from Cluster 6.

First place was won by Team Sekolah Rendah Haji Mohd Salleh, Sungai Hanching from Cluster 2, followed by Team Sekolah Rendah Sengkurong from Cluster 4 in second place and Team Sekolah Rendah Rimba III from Cluster 3 in third place.

This Multiplication Genius Competition was held as a continuation of the Program Bijak Sifir that was implemented in schools to help students master multiplication and skills found in Mathematics subjects. The competition started in February this year in stages, namely at the school level and the cluster level.

Among the objectives of this competition is to foster students' passion and interest in learning Mathematics, to master the skills of remembering multiplications, to give awareness of the importance of mastering Mathematics in life and to foster loyalty and team spirit.

Also present were the Director of Schools, Heads of Divisions and Units from the Department of Schools as well as teachers.

PERTANDINGAN MULTIPLICATION GENIUS PERINGKAT AKHIR, TAHUN 2024

Hari Khamis, 26 Syaaban 1445 / 7 Mac 2024

KG. KATOK – Kementerian Pendidikan melalui Bahagian Program dan Akademik, Jabatan Sekolah-Sekolah, pada hari ini telah mengadakan Pertandingan Multiplication Genius Peringkat Akhir bagi Tahun 2024 bertempat di Auditorium 1, Sekolah Ugama Arab Menengah Perempuan Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha.

Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat ialah Yang Mulia Dr Hajah Sallimah binti Haji Mohammad Salleh, Pengarah Jabatan Perancangan, Perkembangan dan Penyelidikan, Kementerian Pendidikan.

Seramai 24 orang pelajar Tahun 3 dari 6 buah sekolah rendah kerajaan yang mewakili 6 kluster bertanding di peringkat akhir. Sekolah-sekolah yang berjaya mara ke peringkat akhir ialah Sekolah Rendah Junjongan dari Kluster 1, Sekolah Rendah Haji Mohd Salleh, Sungai Hanching dari Kluster 2, Sekolah Rendah Rimba III dari Kluster 3, Sekolah Rendah Sengkurong dari Kluster 4, Sekolah Rendah Perpindahan Kampung Bukit Beruang II dari Kluster 5 dan Sekolah Rendah Pengiran Setia Negara Pengiran Mohd Yusof dari Kluster 6.

Tempat pertama telah dimenangi oleh Pasukan Sekolah Rendah Haji Mohd Salleh, Sungai Hanching dari Kluster 2, diikuti dengan Pasukan Sekolah Rendah Sengkurong dari Kluster 4 di tempat kedua dan Pasukan Sekolah Rendah Rimba III dari Kluster 3 di tempat ketiga.

Pertandingan Multiplication Genius ini diadakan sebagai kesinambungan Program Bijak Sifir yang telah dilaksanakan di sekolah-sekolah bagi membantu pelajar untuk menguasai sifir dan kemahiran yang terdapat dalam mata pelajaran Matematik. Pertandingan bermula pada bulan Februari tahun ini mengikut peringkat iaitu di peringkat sekolah dan peringkat kluster.

Antara objektif pertandingan ini adalah bagi memupuk semangat dan minat belajar para pelajar terhadap mata pelajaran Matematik, menguasai kemahiran mengingati sifir, memberi kesedaran akan kepentingan penguasaan Matematik dalam kehidupan dan memupuk sikap setia kawan dan semangat berpasukan.

Turut Hadir ialah Pengarah Sekolah-Sekolah, Ketua-Ketua Bahagian dan Unit dari Jabatan Sekolah-Sekolah, guru-guru dan para pelajar yang mengambil bahagian.
