The Ministry of Education through the Department of Curriculum Development has held the launching ceremony of the "Brunei Darussalam Financial Literacy Competency Framework for School Children and Adults", held at the Main Hall, Ministry of Education this afternoon.
The main objective of the production of the "Brunei Darussalam Financial Competency Framework for School Children and Adults" is as a reference for all levels of society in an effort to increase knowledge and skills on the importance of orderly and systematic financial management. This is in line with the goal of Brunei Vision 2035 to have highly educated and skilled people, improve the quality of life of the people as well as more sustainable economic growth.

Present as the guest of honor at the ceremony was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sulaiman, Minister of Education as the Chairman of the National Financial Literacy Council.
The event began with a speech by Yang Mulia Dr. Shamsiah Zuraini Kanchanawati binti Haji Tajuddin, Permanent Secretary (Core Education), Ministry of Education as the Head of Pillar 1 of the National Council for Financial Literacy. The ceremony continued with the launching of the "Brunei Darussalam Financial Literacy Competency Framework for School Children and Adults" which was officiated by the guest of honor who then presented the framework book to the members of the Steering Committee and certificates of appreciation to the members of the Working Committee for the development of the framework book. The guests of honor also had the opportunity to witness a mini exhibition on the process of producing the framework book.
Also present was Yang Mulia Datin Seri Paduka Dr. Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Salleh, Deputy Minister of Education; members of the National Council for Financial Literacy; Permanent Secretary (Higher Education); Deputy Permanent Secretaries; Heads of Departments and senior officials of Ministry of Education.

MAJLIS PELANCARAN BUKU KERANGKA
"BRUNEI DARUSSALAM FINANCIAL LITERACY COMPETENCY FRAMEWORK
FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN AND ADULTS"
Berakas– Kementerian Pendidikan melalui Jabatan Perkembangan Kurikulum telah mengadakan majlis pelancaran buku kerangka "Brunei Darussalam Financial Literacy Competency Framework for School Children and Adults", bertempat di Dewan Utama, Kementerian Pendidikan petang tadi.
Penghasilan buku kerangka tersebut adalah bertujuan sebagai bahan rujukan kepada semua peringkat masyarakat dalam usaha meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemahiran mengenai kepentingan pengurusan kewangan yang teratur dan bersistematik. Ini adalah selaras dengan matlamat Wawasan Brunei 2035 untuk mempunyai rakyat yang berpendidikan dan kemahiran tinggi, meningkatkan kualiti kehidupan rakyat serta pertumbuhan ekonomi yang lebih mampan
Hadir selaku tetamu kehormat ialah Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sulaiman, Menteri Pendidikan, Pengerusi Majlis Kebangsaan Celik Kewangan.
Majlis dimulakan dengan ucapan alu-aluan daripada Yang Mulia Dr Shamsiah Zuraini Kanchanawati binti Haji Tajuddin, Setiausaha Tetap (Pendidikan Teras), Kementerian Pendidikan selaku Ketua Peneraju Pillar 1 Majlis Kebangsaan Celik Kewangan. Majlis diteruskan dengan pelancaran buku kerangka "Brunei Darussalam Financial Literacy Competency Framework for School Children and Adults" oleh tetamu kehormat yang kemudiannya menyampaikan buku kerangka tersebut kepada ahli-ahli Jawatankuasa Pandu serta sijil penghargaan kepada ahli-ahli Jawatankuasa Kerja pembinaan buku kerangka berkenaan. Tetamu kehormat juga turut berpeluang menyaksikan mini pameran mengenai proses penghasilan buku kerangka tersebut.
Turut hadir ialah Yang Mulia Datin Seri Paduka Dr. Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh, Timbalan Menteri Pendidikan; ahli-ahli Majlis Kebangsaan Celik Kewangan; Setiausaha Tetap Pengajian Tinggi, Timbalan-Timbalan Setiausaha Tetap ketua-ketua jabatan dan pegawai-pegawai kanan, Kementerian Pendidikan.
