A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on Cooperation and Collaboration in TVET Digital Learning Resources, between SEAMEO VOCTECH (SV) Regional Centre and Labtech International Ltd was held via online on 8 September 2021.
This MoA is SV's initiative towards the progression of online training development as an alternative training solution during the current COVID-19 pandemic as its future training development initiative and way forward.
It is hoped that with this MoA, SV can enhance both the pedagogical, technical skills and able to offer online training programmes that are effective and inclined to IR 4.0 readiness by collaborating with international online training partners such as Labtech International Ltd.
Amongst the key areas of the MoA are collaboration in providing virtual TVET online courses for continuous professional development, advisory services on technical teacher education, as well as jointly undertaking research and development initiatives.
Collaborations such as this are part of SV's continuous effort in meeting its mission of capacity building and the sustainable development of the vocational and technical education in the Southeast Asian region.
Also present during the MOA ceremony was Dr Steven McKee, President and Founder, Labtech International Ltd, Mr. Brad Ker, Business Development & Digital Programs Executive, Labtech International Ltd, as well as representatives from Labtech International Ltd and SV Management and Staff.
