About Us
The landmark to excellence in Brunei Darussalam’s development of higher education is depicted by the emergence of institutions of higher learning back 30 years ago. This achievement is very significant and has paved the way for further development of the higher education sector. In an effort to identify the direction and further development of higher education in the country, The Ministry of Education has established the Higher Education Division on April 1, 2008 which is under the Office of Permanent Secretary (Higher Education).

  • Regulating and facilitating governance of HEIs;
  • Enhancing HEI’s capabilities in research, academic and expertise aspects;
  • Aligning strategic initiatives towards MoE vision;
  • Facilitating internationalization of HE.
